Things in the work front have been super hectic lately. I had writing deadlines left and right this week and so I haven’t been able to blog at all Β until now.

It’s all good though! Β I’m certainly not complaining. Deadlines mean I have work and it allows me to do what I love to do most and get paid for it. I am extremely grateful for the blessing of work. It just means less time for blogging though.

I really, really wanted to blog about how we spent Halloween. That post was supposed to go up last Monday. I had the entire post written already. The only thing left to do was insert the accompanying photos. Unfortunately, when I was about to upload the photos from my phone to my laptop, I realized that the entire album of photos was missing.

Yes, the entire album! The entire album that contained around 500 photos accumulated over the past few months. I didn’t panic at first because it has happened before. The album came back a few days later. Yes, my phone sucks like that. But this time, the album is still nowhere to be found and it has been four days already since it went missing. So, what am I do to?

I want to cry. I really do. I was already able to download some of the photos from that album before but not any of the recent ones and that includes photos of the Halloween we spent at the Sky Halloween Superheroes event in Eastwood and our dinner that night at Slappy Cakes. It really, really sucks.

Fortunately, I was able to post on Instagram two photos from the event. Yes, just two photos. Boohoo! Here they are.

This one was Ziggy trying out the activity at the Ready Steady Go Kids booth. He really wanted to try it the first time he saw it but when he was about to do so he hesitated for about a minute or two. Then he finally overcame his shyness and did the activity with one of the coaches. He had so much fun that he ended up doing it three more times!

I was so proud of him. It made me realize that he is ready now to try some classes. I’ve been thinking of enrolling him at RSGK for months now. And guess what? Two days ago I found out that I won the RSGK giveaway c/o Mommy Mundo. Woohoo! I won a full term for Ziggy worth almost Php 10,000. I am so happy! He’s starting his first class soon and you bet I’ll be blogging about that.

This is another photo of Ziggy, this time during the costume parade for the Cutie Superheroes category. We knew he wouldn’t win because his Spiderman costume wasn’t exactly brimming with originality. But we let him join anyway so that he can experience it.

Ziggy refused to wear his hood/mask!

He was so comfortable up there on stage. He’s really growing up already!

After the event, we went to Slappy Cakes for dinner. It was our first time to try Slappy Cakes so I really wanted to blog about the experience. Hopefully, I still get to do so if ever the missing photo album turns up magically (crossing my fingers and toes!). But for now let me just share with you another Instagram photo of one of the dishes we got to try.

Halloween2014a

This is called the Bacon Benedict and it’s oh so delish! I love everything about this dish from the crispiness of the bacon, the richness and creaminess of the sauce and the saltiness of the potatoes. Plus, the serving is big enough for sharing! Love it!

I’m also really happy that I was able to post this family photo on Instagram or else it would have gone missing too.

Halloween2014b

We don’t have a lot of recent family photos so I’m really happy we got to take this. It was a really nice family day.

I just really hope I get my other photos back. That was a big lesson learned. Next time, I’ll upload all new photos immediately to my laptop.

How was your week?

  2. Oh, so sorry to hear that… Hopefully, you’ll be able to retrieve them all. I know how it feels. There was one time I thought my daughter accidentally erased all my phone photos I almost cried. Good thing, they weren’t really deleted, they were just “hiding” or put to somewhere by my daughter. How she did it, I really don’t know. πŸ™‚

    Thank you for sharing! πŸ™‚

  6. omg, that’s sucks. I hate it when technology fails us. My mom loves to keep photos as memories and I know she will kill me if I accidentally deleted all the pictures we have taken through out the years. That’s why I have a cloud storage with backup drive so in case my cloud failed, my backup drive will save me. LOL

The kids are so adorable. My niece is still young to join this kind of event. RSGK is a day care class or preschool? That’s cool though, winning 10,000 worth of full term.
