Don’t you ever wonder about other women and the lives that they live? I often do.

I’m genuinely interested to learn more about others, especially women like me, because I want to know how similar or different my life is from theirs. It’s also just interesting to see how others live (which is why I love reality TV! Haha!). I mean, modern day Filipina women wear different hats as they juggle the many facets of their lives. It’s intriguing to know how they are able to do it all.

Luckily, there’s a new show on 2nd Avenue that’s all about that. As we all know, 2nd Avenue is the female entertainment channel for strong, successful women craving light and relatable programs that reflect their concerns, passions and interests.

Last Sunday, December 20, 2nd Avenue premiered In Her Shoes, an all-new 30-minute lifestyle magazine show that trains the spotlight on women whose passions are not limited to home, child-rearing, beauty and fashion. The show steps into the different lives of 2nd Avenue women as it takes a sneak peek into the distinct interests and cliques of varied archetypes of women – from bloggers, artsy types, the foodies, and the fitness buffs.

The show is hosted by China Conjuangco-Gonzales, who’s a chef, wife to husband Gino and mother to daughter, Lucia. Like me, China says she’s also curious about what other women do as they go about their lives.

In Her Shoes will feature four (4) main segments including:

Walk the Talk – A 3-5 minute mini-documentary feature on the personality of the week. This will capture the Archetype in her environment on a daily basis, supported with her answers from the interview questions.

The Hop – The host will get to try out a restaurant or any interesting place the Archetype usually goes to, or any of these type of women frequents to hang out.

The Stride – The host will present an activity that the week’s Archetype usually does or will take interest of.

Perfect Fit – The Archetype shares tips and tricks that help her live her life.

I find these segments very interesting and intriguing because it really seems like the audience will get to “step in the shoes” of these fabulous women that will be featured. I’m excited to find out who they will be so for sure, I’ll be catching the next several episodes.

In Her Shoes is on 2nd Avenue every Sundays at 6:30 p.m. but you can also catch the replays on the following timeslots: Mondays at 10:30 p.m., Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m., Thursday at 9:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m.

  1. It’s always nice to know when TV shows focus on highlighting local personalities because it’s easier to relate to, and be inspired by, fellow Filipinos, especially when stories are about Pinoy moms like us 🙂
