It’s been a while since I last published a #PlanningforPleasure post here on the blog. But if you’ve been following my planner IG account, Planning for Pleasure, you’d know that I’ve continued my creative planning journey. It’s actually a year already this month since I started this series on the blog. So, yay!

Anyway, I really love sharing my creative planning finds and one of my most recent ones is this local online shop called Papermela (formerly Bella Storia MNL). Papermela, owned by its very generous proprietor Carmela, started in 2013 selling washi tapes, deco tapes and paper tapes but eventually started focusing on planner stickers. I discovered them a couple of months ago and really loved their designs. So, I was really, really happy when Carmela chose me to be one of Papermela’s blog partners.

Being a blog partner means I get to share with you Papermela’s latest sticker designs and give you a chance to get discounts on your purchases too. But let’s get to that later. For now, let me share first the happy mail I got from Papermela recently.

Look at all those pretty stickers (plus a freebie sticky notes pack)! I was super excited when I got them in the mail. Let’s go through them, shall we? Let’s start off with this Hibiscus Collection.

As you can see above, the Hibiscus Collection includes several planner sticker sheets. I believe these were made for use in the Mambi Happy Planner or the Erin Condren ones. However, it still could work for other types and sizes of planners. I, myself, use it on my 2016 Starbucks Moleskine planner. The set I received included two (2) sheets of Hibiscus boxes, one (1) sheet each of the half box kit 1 and 2, one (1) sheet of the Hibiscus flags, one (1) sheet of the reschedule/cancelled Hibiscus stickers, and one (1) sheet of the decorative Hibiscus set. Each sheet can be purchased separately, by the way.

I was able to use the Hibiscus collection on my planner last week and here’s the layout I came up with. Most of the stickers used below are from the Hibiscus Collection.

As you can see above, I had no problem at all using the stickers in this planner even if I didn’t use them in a Mambi or EC. After all, this is what creative planning is all about. I love that the stickers are so pretty and feminine. The color combo used in this collection is also one of my favorite ones. I love that there’s a good mix of both functional and decorative stickers in this collection. While I do creative planning for the fun of it, I also make sure that my layouts have enough space for me to write on, or else why use a planner in the first place, right?

Another thing I love about the Papermela stickers I got is that they’re printed on high quality matte paper, which in my opinion makes them easier to write on with most pens. However, Papermela also uses gloss sticker paper for some of their stickers. So, I guess it’s just a matter of preference.

Papermela also sent me five sheets of their Chibi and Kawaii planner stickers, which contain samples of some of the designs they have available.

Above you can see the Grocery Kawaii Set, Cocktail Kawaii Set, Ice Cream Kawaii Set, Television Kawaii Set, Coffee Kawaii Set, Pizza Kawaii Set, Donut Kawaii Set, Camera Kawaii Set and Ticket Kawaii Set. For the Chibis, I got the Busy Bee, Shopping, Lolita Cleaning Chibi, Selfie, In Love, Planning Chibi, Sick and Travel Chibi.

As much as I love having a functional planner, these decorative stickers are the ones that make creative planning fun. Take a look at how I used some of these decorative stickers in my planner last week.

I used the Television sticker to mark down when the new season of my favorite TV shows will start.

I also used the pizza sticker to mark down Pizza Night at our house.

Here’s what the final planner layout of my past week looks like.

As you can see, I also ended up using the Grocery, Camera and In Love stickers in the layout. I love how the layout turned out. It makes me happy just looking at it!

  8. Gaaah I love the hibiscus collection! I haven’t ordered anything planner-related in the past few months because I learned that I am not the decorating type. So I just had customised inserts made. Those hibiscus are hard to resist tho!
