When you’re designing your child’s bedroom, you should make sure that it’s nothing short of a magical haven. Making sure your child absolutely loves their bedroom is one way to get them to love going to bed! We all know how sleep-shy some children can be these days. Not only that, you give them somewhere lovely to relax, read a book, and even play. These 7 tips will help you to turn your child’s bedroom into a magical haven:

1. Include a Bed Canopy

A bed canopy is an amazing addition to a children’s bedroom for a few reasons. Not only does it make the bed feel more secluded and cozy, it can give the room a truly magical vibe. It adds an element of magic and you can even decorate it with fairy lights to include even more wonder!

2. Make Sure They Have A Reading Nook

Kids should be encouraged to read wherever possible. It’s going to help them to develop their imaginations, spelling skills, and so many more skills. You will need to start off reading to them when they’re young, but once they’re old enough you can encourage them to read alone. Give them their very own reading nook in their bedroom to encourage them to read as often as possible. This should be somewhere cozy that they can curl up and get lost in a book for hours. A ti-pi can be especially cozy in a child’s bedroom, and be a great place for them to read and let their imaginations run wild!

3. Choose Tranquil, Relaxing Colors

Make sure you choose tranquil, relaxing colors for your child’s bedroom. Some colors can be too stimulating, so make sure the colors you choose are relaxing. Pastel colors are a pretty safe bet if you want to use a few different colors in the theme.

4. Shared Bedroom? Go For Cute Bunk Beds

If your children share a room, don’t worry. You can still transform this room into a magical haven for them. Take a look at something like Cuckooland’s collection of bunk beds to get started. You’re bound to find something your kids will love, and you can then decorate the rest of the room around the beds.

5. Use Fairy Lights And Other Features

Fairy lights and similar features help to make the room look even more magical. You can place these over a bed frame or hang them from the curtains. There are so many creative ways to ensure your child has a magical vibe in their bedroom. If you’d rather not include fairy lights, there are glow in the dark decals you can use!

6. Paint The Ceiling

How about painting the ceiling in a unique way to ignite their imaginations? There’s no rule out there that says it has to be white! You could even paint it like the sky, complete with fluffy clouds.

7. Get Creative

Finally, make sure you get creative. You can place little doors over power outlets, turn a storage closet into a little hobbit house, and even make a chest of draws into Hogwarts suitcases. How about making a broken umbrella into a light fitting fit for a fairy?
