My friends, Darlene and Carina, invited my family to spend Easter Sunday at Commercenter Alabang. They organized a free Easter event there. The invitation was, of course, gladly accepted by our family because we were really looking forward to Zander’s first Easter and Ziggy wanted to do egg hunting again.

So off we trooped to Commercenter Alabang that day. The event was from 1 – 4 p.m. We arrived around 1:30 p.m. Since the egg hunting wasn’t until 3 p.m., Ziggy joined the painting activity first.

Each kid who signed up for the painting activity were given this kit. It contains small pots of paint, a paint brush, plus an Easter egg, a bunny and a cross that they could paint.

Here’s Ziggy with his friend, Gab, enjoying the painting activity.

Here’s Ziggy with his painting output. He didn’t take the painting too seriously though, which was a shame because the kids who had the best painting work were awarded with 4 movie tickets at Commercenter Alabang. That’s okay though. The most important thing was that he enjoyed the activity.

There were a lot of kids who participated too and the area became full after some time.

Good thing there was a lounge area where we stayed to hang out with friends while waiting for the egg hunting to start. I only wish there were more food booths. There was one cotton candy stand, which was nice. But more snack booths would have been nice too so that we didn’t have to leave the area to look for food while waiting.

This was the egg hunting area before the eggs and candy were scattered.

Here’s what it looked like with the eggs and candy.

The area wasn’t too big. Good thing the organizers grouped the kids according to age so that it will be fair for everyone joining. I joined the group for babies ages 2 and below. I chose to babywear Zander so that it will be easier for me to get the eggs. Haha! Each group was given only 15 seconds, I think, to get as much eggs and candy as they can. Zander and I did really well. Such a memorable first Easter for him.

Ziggy joined the group for the ones age 6 and above. He did good too!

The best thing about this egg hunt though are the prizes hidden in some of the eggs. Ziggy got a Hot Wheels car! Here he is with his friends, Chloe and David, who also got prizes.

Zander and I also got a prize from one of the eggs. We got a free pizza from Mona Lisa Ristorante, which we claimed after the event. Yay!!! Thank you! I really love the generosity of the mall tenants who readily sponsored the prizes for the event.

We got so much candy that day. But there were also small toys and some stationery in our loot!

Overall, we really had a lot of fun spending Easter Sunday at Commercenter Alabang. Thanks to Darlene and Carina for inviting us! Looking forward to next  year!

  4. We also spent some time at the mall last Easter but my kids did not join the event for kids by Cartoon Network. We just strolled and ate lunch and ice-cream.

  5. We were not able to join any Easter event last Holy Week. My son enjoys egg-hunting activity so I prepared one na lang for him. But it is more exciting kung may kaagaw sa egg. hehehe!

  6. I’m sure next year, we will attend any egg hunting event here in our place. I’m sure your babies were all happy with their prizes and with the experience. I also wanted to expose my son in events like this. I’m quite excited now thinking that after a year, my baby will get his share in activities like this.

  7. Fun event indeed. This is a kind of event where I’d like to bring my son. And oh, you made me crave for pizza! Looks so good!
