It was certainly a Mother’s Day to remember. The previous night it was already raining and we were actually gearing up for the upcoming typhoon. According to the news, it will come during that weekend. And so, we woke up to a gray Sunday morning. Pretty soon, it was raining cats and dogs. There goes my Mother’s Day.
For the past few weeks I have been praying for rain because the summer heat was just killing me. I guess I got my wish. But I didn’t wish for a typhoon! Anyway, though we tried to leave the house late afternoon to have dinner out, we couldn’t because the rain was just too hard and we were scared that we’d be stuck outside in case flooding occurs. So, my Mother’s Day was spent at home. The bad thing was that the electricity went out late afternoon and only came back later that night at 1am already!
It was certainly an adventure. We had dinner by candlelight and slept early. It wasn’t all bad, though. The hubby has been super great to me the whole weekend and the kids drew me pictures. Zoe also made me a “lollipop” while Ziya made me a “flower”out of barbecue sticks and paper. Aren’t they just sweet?
