Time certainly flies by so fast. I can hardly believe that three years have passed since Kai and I first became a couple. It’s our third anniversary today! Sometimes I think, “Has it only been three years? Really?” So many things have happened since that faithful day that it seems years and years ago. But aside from that, we still have this feeling that we’ve known each other since forever.
Anyway, since it’s a workday, we couldn’t really celebrate today. Maybe we can do something during the weekend when the girls are off to a trip with their dad and his relatives. Kai and I won’t be alone though since baby Ziggy will no doubt be with us but that’s more than alright. Hmmm, I wonder how we can celebrate this weekend.
Today, I surprised Kai with a letter that I made using a Powerpoint presentation. I included some of our photos together then emailed the file to him so that I it will be a surprise for him when he gets home to check his email. Here it is.
Here is what I wrote:
Three years have passed and a lot has happened. We met and fell in love despite difficult circumstances. It was a struggle but we understood that our past had to happen to prepare us for each other. You just knew that you are for me and that I am for you and that our future is bright. I just knew when I met you that I finally found my rightful place in the world. I finally found my home – in you.
I remember how amazed I was – about you and how much you love me. I was amazed about how much I love you and how I can’t get enough of you. The limited time we had together was just not enough. We dreamed that someday we’d really be together – that one day we’d wake up beside each other everyday. – that we can kiss and hug each other anytime we want and that we’d be family – that we’d be complete. I just find it so wonderful that those dreams of ours have finally come true.
Thank you for spending the past three years with me. I wish for a lot more years to spend with you because honestly, forever is just not enough (cheesy!). Thank you for all the adventures, the laughs, the tears, the hugs, the kisses. Thank you for opening your heart to Zoe & Ziya. Thank you for giving me Ziggy. Thank you for accepting the good and bad sides of me – for not giving up and always holding on. Thank you for loving me. I have learned a lot and have grown so much because of you.
