Project Yearbook: Week 17

Ziggy’s week 17 just ended last Sunday, and today is actually his 4th month birthday! Yup, my baby boy is growing… and growing….. and growing…. so fast! During week 17, Ziggy started to drop his pacifier more frequently and I know I should be happy about that. However, he started using his finger instead! He’s been sucking on his hand for the past couple of weeks now but on week 17 he discovered his finger and started sucking on that instead. Oh, I wanted to stop him from doing so. I know it will be very difficult to wean him when the time comes but it’s practically the only thing now that helps him calm down. So, I guess I’ll just worry about weaning him from thumbsucking later on.

Last week we were supposed to go to his pediatrician for his monthly check up as well as his second Rotavirus shot. However, we have been unable to schedule it. We’ll probably go this Friday, though. So, by then we’ll finally find out how much weight Ziggy has gained since his last doctor’s visit. I’m guessing he’s gained a lot! Though I love carrying him, it becomes increasingly challenging each passing day as Ziggy keeps on growing.

On Day 113, I took a photo of Ziggy while Daddy Kai was carrying him on his lap. Ziggy was still pretty sleepy in this photo. But he’s oh so cute!

This Day 114 photo was taken when Ziggy just woke up. He was sleeping on his tummy (with careful supervision, I might add). So, here he was pulling his head up so that he can get out of the position he was in. He usually hates prolonged tummy time. 

For Day 115, I wanted to show a photo of Ziggy with the hem of his shirt  up, showing his big tummy. It reminds me of Winnie the Pooh. Hehehe!

On Day 116, I took a photo of him while he was trying to suck his hand. At this point, he hasn’t found his finger yet. Sometimes he makes a disgusted face after sucking his hand, like he has tasted something bad but he continues to do it anyway. So funny!

This Day 117 photo was taken very early in the morning. I usually prop him up on a sitting position with pillows so he can watch morning cartoons on TV, so that I can have my breakfast while blogging. Haha! During this day, there was a storm and so it was really cold, which is why Ziggy was all bundled up.

On Day 118, we all went out. This was taken at a Golden Spoon branch, while the kids and I were waiting for Kai to finish having his haircut done. 

 Finally on Day 119, Ziggy found his thumb! As you can see, there’s a pacifier below  his chin. I gave the pacifier to him but he took it out and sucked on his thumb instead. Oh my Ziggy!
