In Girls Talk this week, it’s all about the best birthday gift we have ever received. Let me just start this by saying I’ll share the best material gift and the best non-material gift I’ve ever received.
The best material gifts came from my ex-hubby. He came home from the U.S. on the day of my birthday in 2008 and surprised me with a gorgeous cream Juicy Couture handbag plus a green and pink Juicy Couture wallet, which in all must have cost him over $200. He knew I would love them since I’m a certified bag lover (especially if they’re designer ones, hehehe). However, those gifts are important to me not because of how much they cost. They are the actually the last birthday gifts he’s given me because we separated already a couple of months after that. Awww…. I guess, even the best material gifts can’t fix the fact that we just couldn’t work things out.
Anyway, the best non-material gift was actually given to me on my birthday this year, which was last February, and was given to be my Kai. For those of you who have been reading this blog for a long time, you’d know that I gave birth to Ziggy on February 28, just a week after my birthday. So, yes, he’s the best birthday gift ever! I’ve been wanting a baby boy for years and was actually starting to lose hope that I’ll ever have one. So, I’m just so happy that Kai has given me Ziggy. Actually, Kai has been the reason why my past three birthdays have been the best. In 2009, he took me on a surprise night out to Antipolo with my two girl friends. It was great and I will never forget that. Last year, he planned a whole day of fun for me and the girls at the SM Mall of Asia. That was the best birthday celebration I’ve ever had, but I’ll just share the details on the last GT post for this month (hehe!).
What were the best birthday gifts you’ve ever received?

i’ve no interest in bags but i’ve read that juicy couture is one of the most sought after brands by girls. great to know you have a bag and a wallet from them!
