Welcome to Week 23 of Ziggy’s Project Yearbook! Not much has changed this week. Ziggy is mostly doing well. He’s still not turning over on his own but we know he’s going to do it soon because he keeps on rolling over to his side now. He’s close! I can’t wait for it to finally happen. It’s so exciting! Another thing he keeps doing more lately is grab for his feet. He discovered his feet about a couple of weeks ago but it’s only recently that he has really taken an interest in them. He keeps grabbing them more and more each passing day. He’s also learning to have more control of holding his bottle on his own. The day when he finally learns to hold his own bottle will be a day of relief for me! However, I am sure I will miss those moments when I get to feed him myself.
This week, Ziggy was still constipated because of his milk. We continue to give him Lilac to help with the constipation but only when it’s really bad. We don’t want him to rely on medicine. So, we also continue to give him papaya (which he loves!) at least for one meal everyday. Speaking of food, this was also the week Ziggy first tried to eat squash. Oh, I think he found a new favorite! He just loves it! He can finish up to 2 ounces and I think he wanted to eat more after he finished his bowl. Will be sure to give him more next time after we have introduced him to other foods.
Ziggy also still drools a lot. I really think that it is the onset of teething already and so we bought him his first teether. He hasn’t used it that much yet because I think he’s still trying to get used to it. Will definitely have to take a photo of him using it next time. Aside from the teether, Daddy Kai also purchased a walker for Ziggy already! Obviously, Ziggy’s not really trying to walk yet but we figured it would be good practice for him to just sit in the walker so he can already get used to it. He cried at first but now we think he’s already beginning to like it.Â
Below are Ziggy’s Week 23 photos:
Week 23 started with Day 155 (August 1). Here in this photo, I wanted to show how far he’s gone trying to turn over on his own. So far, he can only turn to his side. Nice effort, though, considering his weight.
On Day 156, there was a typhoon and so there were no classes. Zoe and Ziya took that morning as an opportunity to play with Ziggy. Here they are posing for a photo with him.
For Day 157, it was Daddy Kai’s turn to give Ziggy a bath. It has been a while since I took a “bath photo” and so I decided to take this one of him wrapped in his towel.
Oh, I just absolutely love this Day 158 photo! Don’t you think that this is the most adorable toothless smile ever? This is absolutely my most favorite photo of Ziggy to date.
On Day 159, Ziggy and I accompanied Daddy Kai to get a check up since he was sick and also to do some errands. Kai surprised us by treating me to a really nice Japanese restaurant, Yakimix, for lunch. I blogged about this earlier. If you want to read about it, just click here.
On Day 160, I took a photo of Ziggy’s first time to ride his new walker at home. Since he can’t walk with it yet, Kai placed a rope thing in order to pull the walker. You should see them “walking around” the house. It’s so cute.
Finally, for Day 161, here’s another photo of Ziggy with Ziya. She just absolutely loves cuddling with him like this. So precious!
Stay tuned for more Project Yearbook!
