If you’ve been following my blog you’d know that I won a nursery makeover for Ziggy a few months back. It was sponsored by a local parenting magazine called Smart Parenting. We have really been anticipating the makeover because we couldn’t wait to see the final product. Well, they finally did that makeover during the last week of November. I was holding off on blogging about it because the magazine was supposed to feature the makeover on their January-February 2012 issue. However, I recently learned that they pushed it back to March or April instead. So, since I couldn’t wait anymore to share the results with you guys, I’m blogging about it now!
First, let me show you the before photos. As you will see below, Ziggy’s nursery did not really look like one at all. It was more of a stockroom of his stuff and other household items as well since Ziggy’s was sleeping with us in the master’s bedroom anyway. Kai decorated the room a little but due to lack of time and budget, it didn’t turn out exactly how we wanted it to be.
So, we were just totally ecstatic when I won the makeover. For the theme, we asked the architect to make it blue and to have trains and other automobiles as decor because Ziggy loves those. I specifically asked for baskets to organize Ziggy’s things. Aside from those, we didn’t really now what to expect. So, we were pleasantly surprised with the outcome!
Oh, we just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the room! Most importantly, Ziggy and even Zoe and Ziya, love it too! This is where they spend most of their time playing. I love that Ziggy can now crawl and roll around because there are mats on the floor. Also even if he accidentally hits his head on the wall it wouldn’t hurt much because of the orange protective covering that was placed there, which is also part of the decor.
Honestly, we are so grateful for this makeover. Thank you so much, Smart Parenting magazine! We can’t wait for the feature to come out soon!
wow, so lucky sis! i will wait for your feature in Smart Parenting! love Ziggy’s room ^_^
