My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Review & Giveaway (Feb. 28 – Mar. 13, 2012)

As a wife and mom, I hold family memories very close to my heart. That is why I take tons and tons of photos of my hubby and I, as well as our kids, of course. The thing about our photos, though, is that all of them just get stored in several folders in our computer. I’ve been wanting to create scrapbooks of our best photos but the problem with that is I feel it’s too time-consuming and I’m not creative enough to make the pages look great. So, I am so happy that I was given an opportunity to review a digital scrapbooking software called My Memories Suite.

My Memories Suite is a fun and creative way to keep and share memories. You may use it whether you’re using a Mac or PC. The software consists of tons of ready-made templates and layouts that make digital scrapbooking so effortless. All you have to do is drag your photos and position them unto the templates. Then type in any information you want on the page. For not-so-creative (and lazy) moms like me, this definitely makes keeping and sharing memories easier and more fun. Check out what I did using one of the ready-made templates.

For the more creative types, you also have the option to create your own template. My Memories Suite offers a variety of background papers, fonts, word art, embellishments and shapes. Aside from that, you can also add imprints, calendars, music and videos. There are just so many design options. You can make not just scrapbooks but photo books, cards, slideshows and videos as well.

Here are a couple of pages I made as I tried to be a bit more creative. These are actually part of the slideshow of my baby Ziggy’s first year photos that I made to share with family and friends since he is celebrating his first birthday already (on February 28). So cute!

Aren’t they just fabulous? The only downside to this software is that it can be a bit overwhelming at first. There are three options for you to design a page. There are the tabs on top of the screen, the control panel on the right and the resource gallery on the left. They basically do the same things. I guess, it just depends on which one you prefer to use. After you get the hang of it, though, it’s super easy and fun to use!
