Oh, I’ve been waiting for this for almost a year! Last year, I joined Smart Parenting magazine’s nursery makeover. Back then, Ziggy’s nursery was more like a store room of his stuff as well as other things we had in the house. I really wanted a proper and nice-looking nursery for Ziggy where he can learn and play.
Well, as luck would have it, by August I was chosen as one out of four winners and I blogged about that here. I could hardly wait for the makeover to start but we had to wait a few months and when it finally took place it was already November. I blogged about that here too. The makeover was done in just a few days and by the first week of December we already had our photo shoot in Ziggy’s new room. Oh, we were so excited to finally see the issue where the feature on the makeover will be published. However, it got pushed back several months and in the end, it was only featured in this month’s issue, July 2012. Finally!!!!
Anyway, of course I already grabbed a copy of the issue (and plan to buy a few more, hahaha!). I just want to share with you guys what it looks like. Unfortunately, I’m not patient enough to go out and have it scanned so I just took photos of the two-page feature and here they are.
The feature was entitled Room To Grow, which I think is very fitting. Ziggy is growing up so fast and he really needed a place where he can be free to play, learn and explore.
I so LOVE the biggest photo with not only Ziggy, but also Zoe and Ziya playing in the nursery.
The second page shows the new shelves and baskets, which I super love. It also shows our super nice family photo.
Unfortunately, the information on my age as well as Ziya’s is no longer updated since we already had our birthdays. Plus, it still specifies the work I had back then, whereas I’m already back to working from home now. Despite that, I am very happy with the outcome of the makeover and feature. I am definitely very lucky to have won this makeover and Ziggy’s very blessed to have such a nice room. Thanks Smart Parenting!
