Last Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, the hubby and I took the kids to Trinoma for the Philips AVENT: From Pregnancy To Playground event. I have been really anticipating this event since I was first invited to attend because they had a great line up of activities not just for moms but for the entire family as well. It didn’t disappoint.
The Trinoma Activity Center was divided into three areas: Baby Bump for pregnant moms, New Baby for moms with young children up to 18 months, and Growing Baby for mothers with toddlers.
I first headed to the Baby Bump area to take a look at the Belly Cast art exhibit. I so wanted to have a belly cast during my last pregnancy but wasn’t able to do so. The exhibit featured the belly casts of six women: Neva Santos, Chiara Datu, Isobelle Camacho, Barni Alejandro, Ayse Trifyllis, and Polly Fong. The belly casts are beautifully designed by birth artist, Mimsy Jundis, to tell the story of each mom’s unique journey.
Along side the belly cast art exhibit is a photo exhibit of pregnancy portraits of the same six moms courtesy of photographer, Stanley Ong.
The Baby Bump area also had a Mommy Mailbox wherein moms can write a letter to her unborn baby. The letters will be published online on the Mommy Steps website. Beside that is this Baby Music Lounge wherein preggy moms can relax by listening to soothing classical music.
Next up is the New Baby area. They had a Bib Art area for designing bibs. I, unfortunately, was not able to see those who participated in action but I did see these wonderfully designed bibs on display.
The Bib Art area was later replaced by a coloring area for the kids.
Of course, there is the Mom’s Best Choice Exhibit which reveals the results of a groundbreaking survey wherein Philips AVENT emerged as the number one brand recommended by mothers (Data from the Mommy Mundo Preferred Brands Survey 2012).
I was happy to see a breastfeeding station as well, especially since August is Breastfeeding Month. Philips AVENT offers a wide array of products in support of breastfeeding, which I think is great.
The third area, Growing Baby, includes the Scrapbooking area. Moms like me love scrapbooking because it gives us a chance to nicely record our baby’s precious moments and milestones. My girls had a chance to create their own scrapbook pages while I went around the exhibit area.
A Growing Baby of course still needs to be given the right nutrition in order to be healthy. This Juice Bar showcased Philips products, such as this blender, that moms can use to prepare healthy drinks for her growing baby.
What my toddler loved most about the event, though, was this play area set up by Gymboree. Here he is having fun playing with the hubby keeping close watch.
The whole day event also featured some very informative talks from experts. Some of the talks included a Childbirth Talk by Lamaze speaker, Ms. Lin Fernando, a Baby Sign Language talk by Ms. Jaymie Pizarro, a Cooking Demo by Chef Mitchie Sison, a Belly Cast and Birth Art talk by Mimsy Jundis, an Ask Mommy Maricel portion with Philips AVENT Brand Ambassador, Ms. Maricel Laxa – Pangilinan, an Oral Health Care talk by Dr. Georgia Remulla, a Mompreneur Talk by Ms. Mutya Buensuceso of Spinkie and a breastfeeding talk by Dr. Pat Kho.
Other activities included balloon twisting, a magic show, a Truman Mascot performance, some games and raffle draws.

I wasn’t able to go but it is nice to see you and your family enjoyed! 🙂
