I’ve been toying with the idea of creating a newsletter for Roller Coaster Ride for ages. I’ve even created a MailChimp account because I wanted to use it for my newsletters. However, because I’ve been incredibly busy the past several months I never got around to it, until now.
Yep, I did it! Since my One Word for the year is EXPLORE, I decided it’s high time that I explore new things for this blog. Frankly, reading feeds from blogs I subscribe to can sometimes be boring because they’re just plain text. I enjoy receiving the newsletters though because I like seeing the design and personality of the blog injected into it. So, I finally made one of my own. Yes! I am so excited!
It took a couple of hours of tinkering with MailChimp before I finally came up with this.
This is a screenshot of the newsletter that is set to come out to my RSS subscribers today. I automatically included them in my new list of subscribers for the newsletter. This is just partial though. You’ll be able to see the whole thing when you get it in your email. Isn’t it cute? I love how I was able to design it in such a way that it looks just like my blog.
Anyway, if you haven’t subscribed to my RSS feeds through Feedburner before then you wouldn’t be receiving my newsletters. So, if you want to keep receiving updates on Roller Coaster Ride’s new posts, I highly suggest you subscribe to my newsletter now. Just look for the subscribe widget on my sidebar.
