Have you been feeling the heat the past couple of days? That’s one huge sign that summer is indeed just around the corner in this part of the world. That means the kids are going to be out of school within the next couple of weeks or so and they’d be spending a lot of their time at home. The last thing you’d want is for them to get bored. Not good.
One of the things you can do is enroll your kids in summer classes to keep them busy. Let them choose what kind of classes they want to attend. That way, they’ll have fun and learn at the same time. If what they want is to do arts and crafts or if you want to enhance their creativity and develop their imagination, enroll them in kiddie art classes.

SoFa Design Institute is located in Makati and is the “Philippines’ first specialized design college”. It has become known as “the go-to school for passionate design enthusiasts and professionals” as well. They usually open their doors to kids every summer with art classes. This summer they will be having the Fashion Design for Kids workshop wherein kids can learn basic figure drawing, DIY tricks, and more about popular design movements and icons of our era!

Art’s Cool Summer Workshops 2013

Museo Pambata is always a good place to go to teach kids so many things about nature, their bodies, the world. Aside from their exhibits, they usually hold various events that also serve as learning opportunities for kids. One of these events is the Art’s Cool Summer Workshops 2013. The workshop series include Basic Visual Arts (4 – 6 years old), Multimedia Arts (7 – 12 years old), Creative Writing (12 – 18 years old) and Creative Theater (8 – 12 years old).
