Gosh! Has it really been over one week since I last blogged? I didn’t think it was that long already. So much has happened that I never got the time to just sit down and blog. Oh, you bet, I planned on blogging. Everyday I tell myself I’ll set aside time to blog, after I’ve done all my WAHM duties. However, at the end of the day, I find myself too tired and sleepy to do so.
What happened you ask? Well, the most major happening was that my Ziggy got sick. He got fever the weekend before last but it was only an overnight thing so I thought that was it. But then a few days after, he got fever again but this time accompanied by intense coughing. It was so intense that he would vomit several times a day. This eventually caused diarrhea as well. (Sorry to those who are a bit squeamish.)
The diarrhea caused diaper rash which was really painful. The thing is, Ziggy has never had diaper rash before so it was something we were all not used to. Oh my gosh, he would scream in pain every time we had to clean him up and every time I wanted to cry as well. Luckily, the diaper rash disappeared after three days.
You can just imagine how hard it was for my baby boy to fall asleep. He’d ask to be hugged and carried all the time. And I tell you, he’s HEAVY! He weighs 15.5 kilos already now. Usually, he’d wake up just a few minutes after I put him to bed and ask that he be carried again. My poor baby! So, that means, it was SUPER challenging for me to get any house chores and work done. And of course, blogging had to take a back seat as well. As much as I love to blog, family will always come first.
We had to take him to the doctor two days after his fever started. By then, the fever had actually disappeared but he still had cough and colds and diarrhea. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and other medicines. It has been five days since then and I am happy to say that he’s a bit better now. He’s not totally well yet and has to take his medicines for a few more days but I think he’ll be fine already. Thank God!
The thing about Ziggy though is that he still tries to be cheerful even when he’s sick. He’d still try to play with us and do normal stuff. We just make sure he gets plenty of rest still. On the photo below, we were just on the couch watching TV when I decided to take his photo. He saw me and smiled even if he was still feeling weak. Awww!
Anyway, I’ve also been hectic because I closed a deal with a new client last week. Yay! It’s another social media job. I know I said I wanted to focus more on writing. It’s just that social media jobs seem to be the most in demand right now and these are what contributes a lot to my present WAHM earnings so why not take it, right? It’s taking a lot of my time though and again, because of this, blogging has taken a back seat. But that’s not to say that I’m no longer committed to this blog. Of course, I still am! I actually have big plans for this blog and hope to migrate it to WordPress sooner rather than later. So stay tuned for that!
