Since I now have more time to focus on my blog (woohoo!), I was able to think about how I want to improve it. One way that I could think of was to redesign it.
Now, I haven’t completely decided yet if I’m going to hire someone to do it and that’s because hubby has been so generous in terms of initiating making updates to my header, to the font I use on this blog, etc. I just wish he has the ability to do a complete redesign though.
Anyway, while I take my time making a final decision, I thought I could at least choose a nice color palette. Of course, being the ultimate lover of all things purple (and all shades of violet), that’s what I want the main color to be. Then, I want splashes of pink and mint green. I want the end result to look just a bit feminine but with a certain toughness to it. Do you get what I mean?
Well, I came across a site called Design Seeds, which features a wide array of color palettes. Gosh, there are so many to choose from. I actually spent more than an hour browsing them all. Here are my fave picks.
This one is called Bubbling Purples. I like it because it features various shades of purple. But I’m thinking it might be a little too monotonous.
This one is called Color Smoothie. It has some of the same purple shades but with a hint of blue too. Although I like it, I’m thinking it might be a bit too dark. I’d love the pink to be a lighter shade.
This next one is Purple Frost. Like Bubbling Purples, this one is also nice but a bit monochromatic.
This is called Floral Dew. I love this because it has all the three colors that I like. It’s just that I think there’s more green than purple but I like that it “feels” light and fun.
Now, this one is called Starry Hues. I LOVE the color combination of this one although there’s no mint green. I also love that it seems to give an air of mystery. I feel like I can see myself in this palette. People have always said that their first impression of me is that I’m mysterious or that my eyes are mysterious. Haha! I love that this is feminine but because of the color black it doesn’t look too girly-girl.
Lastly, this one is the Beaded Hues. Contrary to Starry Hues, this one’s really feminine. I love the color combination of this one too. It appeals to that softer side of me.
If you were to ask me now which one of these are my top choices, I’d say that I like Starry Hues and Beaded Hues the best. I need some more time to think of which one I like BEST. Haha!
What do you think? Which color palette would you choose for me and Roller Coaster Ride? Let me know in the comments section below. Thanks!
