Last December 5, I was fortunate enough to have been invited to attend the launch of Project Mom, a new book co-authored my model moms Amanda Griffin-Jacob and Bianca Elizalde-Araneta. The launch was held at the Roof Deck of Fully Booked at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig.
Here’s what the book is all about:
Project Mom is a straightforward guide designed to make motherhood a little bit easier and a little less intimidating. Amanda and Bianca draw on their personal parenting experiences to inspire women to discover motherhood in ways they may not have invisioned. Project Mom is packed with useful information to navigate pregnancy all the way through to the baby’s first birthday. The book also covers bringing your baby home, breastfeeding, how to give your baby a healthy food start, and a section just for moms (including their tips on how to get your body back). They have included a comprehensive local directory that makes this book an essential part of your collection to make motherhood a little less overwhelming.
The book launch was very well attended. Celebrities the likes of Marc Nelson, Joey Mead, Gi Toengi, Tweetie de Leon – Gonzales, Christine Jacob – Sandejas and more were in attendance.
The event also became a fundraiser to help rebuild Malapascua, which is an island off of Cebu, devastated by the recent typhoon Yolanda. Raffle tickets were sold during the event for the benefit of this worthwhile cause. There were a lot of partners who actually sponsored amazing prizes for this raffle.
Project Mom is truly a must-have book for every new mom. You can purchase it exclusively at Fully Booked for Php 999.00. For more information, you can visit their website at www.projectmombook.com or visit their Facebook page.
Incidentally, I was also hired by Fully Booked to write an article for their website based on interviews I had to do with some of the guests during the launch. Since I was already with some of my mom blogger friends, Racquel and Chrissy, I included them in the article of course.
