This is going to be a short post. I just wanted to say “hi” and explain why I haven’t blogged for almost a week now. It’s all thanks to my hubby’s lumbar strain. Ugh!
Tuesday morning last week, hubby woke up with a VERY painful lower back. It was so painful that the pain can be felt all the way down to his right leg. Needless to say, he had difficulty walking.
He also had difficulty sitting, lying down and basically doing any kind of movement. That prompted a trip to a doctor. So we went off to Healthway in Greenbelt!
We went to the clinic and he consulted with a doctor of Internal Medicine, who prescribed him medicines and an x-ray. The x-ray showed that his back was indeed having some problems. The normal back, as we all know, is slightly curved. Hubby’s was starting to straighten, which is causing the pain, thus the term “lumbar strain”. So the doctor prescribed some medication and asked him to consult a rehab doctor for some therapy.
Unfortunately, we were only able to consult a rehab doctor two days after at Healthway in Festival Mall, after hubby complaint that the pain wasn’t going away and that the medicines weren’t helping. Long story short, the rehab doctor he saw did recommend for hubby to undergo 6 sessions of therapy. But after some confusion on hubby’s part about where he wanted to take the therapy, he was only able to do so the next day at Healthway Alabang Town Center. Yup, 3 branches in one week. I didn’t even mention the part where we also went to Paranaque Doctors Hospital to check their rehab facilities. I. Am. So. Tired.
For the entire week, hubby couldn’t go to work. He only went back to work today. But he still has four more therapy sessions to go. Below is my view of the rehab room whenever Ziggy and I wait for hubby to finish his electro-magnetic therapy, which he said is just about the only thing that helps with the pain. The three medicines prescribed to him by two different doctors did not help. At. All.
And so my entire last week, became a hectic blur of a total of 5 trips to the doctor, which was of course necessary. But it totally screwed up my schedule for household chores, work and blogging. Oh, and did I mention I was able to close a new client last week too? Oh yeah, and while I’m super, super grateful about that, it really added to the hectic mess of last week.
I. Am. So. Exhausted. But who am I to complain, right? My hubby is in pain, hello! I just reminded myself of that fact day in and day out. Besides, since he was home for the entire week, I got to spend A LOT of time with him. I was just so grateful that I work from home. If not, I wouldn’t have been able to take care of him as much.
So. There. I just wanted to say hi and let you know I’m still alive. Hopefully, I’ll go back to regular programming by the end of the week.
Favor, please. Pray for my hubby’s quick recovery, will you? Thanks!
Awww hugs :). Will definitely pray for his speedy recovery. This too shall pass!! 🙂 God is good all the time. Xx

I also had that too sis aside from cervical spondylosis na parehas ng neck problem ni Gloria Arroyo 🙁
It really causes discomfort talaga, he needs to finish the theraphym although it wont totally erase the pain at least ma eease ito even for a short period of time. At saka need to check on the posture din dapat mag straight posture at bawal na magbuhat ng masyadong mabigat.

I feel you because when I had UTI, I have to go to hospital or clinic for my lab test and check up for 6 consecutive weeks. It is tiring, how much more kung within a week.
Get well sa hubby mo. I tried Pain and Rehab in Megamall when I had back pain several years ago.

Aww, I hope your husband is feeling much better now! That happened to us when my little boy got sick. We transferred from one hospital to another, with different medicines being prescribed. We eventually ended up in TMC and had him confined.
