We had a #ZooFunEaster yesterday at the Best Western Plus Antel Hotel! We had been anticipating this event for weeks.
Best Western Plus Antel Hotel is located at A. Venue, Makati Ave., Makati City. We arrived at the Veneto Function Room a few minutes early and this is the sight that welcomed us.
The stage set up was so nice and definitely very enticing. As you can see, there were loads of prizes plus giveaways from the SM Marketplace displayed on stage.
Aside from that, the animal plushies courtesy of the Zoomanity Group, one of the event sponsors, were also super cute!
Since it was a zoo-themed event, we dressed Ziggy in a zoo-related costume. Here he is as an explorer. Isn’t he cute?
Before the event proper started, the kids got to try some of the activities such as the face painting and balloon twisting activities. Ziggy asked for a police car design for the “arm” painting. Haha! Zoe got a bunch of flowers on her arm but I was unable to take a photo.
We also got to try some cotton candy, flavored fries, hotdogs, snow cone, and fish and squid balls from Crafty Celebrations.
Aside from that we got to take home free magazines and newspaper from the official media partner, Manila Bulletin. I love magazines!
Speaking of Manila Bulletin, did you know that they have a mascot? I didn’t! But apparently, they do and he’s Jeffery the Eaglet. So cute! Ziggy couldn’t resist a photo opp.
Also in attendance was C.N. Tan, the author of this book entitled Charlie Sparks: A Sorcerer’s Tale. This talented young man, who’s now in his early twenties, apparently wrote this book when he was only 11 years old. Zoe and Ziya were so interested in reading it that of course, I had to get a copy.
The program itself was really fun. There was a magic show plus loads and loads of games and prizes. Ziggy was so excited to join, with the help of mommy at times. And of course, he got to win some cool new toys and candy. I was so proud of him when he joined the Trip to Jerusalem game for the first time ever. I had to guide him at first but he quickly understood what he had to do. He actually ended up being one of the four winners!
There was even one game for the mommies! I didn’t join but I had fun watching it. Haha!
Lunch of spaghetti, chicken fingers, french fries, ice cream, and orange juice were served to all of us at the Granvia Cafe. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take photos of the food anymore because we were all way too excited to start eating immediately.
After lunch came the last two parts of the program: the actual Easter Egg Hunt and the awarding. I wish I can brag and say that we got lots and lots of eggs. Unfortunately, we only got two. TWO???!!! We were probably the most pathetic group. Haha! The other kids were just too fast. We were trying to frantically look for eggs that I wasn’t able to take photos of the chaos that ensued. Oh well. It was still really fun though.
So, we didn’t take home any major prizes. But we did take home lots and lots of candy and snacks plus lots and lots of free ride vouchers from the Zoomanity Group, which is so great because we’re actually visiting Paradizoo this weekend!
It was a #ZooFunEaster indeed! We hope to be back someday for Best Western Plus Antel Hotel’s other family events. Oh and for a staycation too because the kids got to see the swimming pools and convinced us to come back.
Thanks so much for inviting us! We had a blast!
Props for the organizers and to Best Western Plus Antel Hotel for such a beautiful stage! I’m sure all the guests, especially the kids had a blast and a memorable Easter celebration. I haven’t been to Best Western Plus Antel Hotel though, so I hope I get the chance to go there one of these days to check out the place.

This looks like a really fun event especially for kids. I didn’t know that Manila Bulletin had a mascot, I am familiar with Guyito of Inquirer though.

Glad to know your kids had fun! I’m sure you would have felt better with getting more than those two eggs, but the fun memories will already make you all happy anyway. 🙂
