If you’re a mom of little kids, I’m sure that like me you’re constantly bombarded by your kids to buy them the latest and the coolest toys. The thing is though, I’m very choosy when it comes to picking toys for my little boy.
Before I buy a toy (especially the pricey ones), I tend to think about it first for some time. I check the specifications and the price and see if I can find better alternatives. Recently, I figured out that I can learn more about the latest toys by viewing YouTube videos. Yeah, I wasn’t much of a YouTube user until recently.
My son, on the other hand, is only 4 years old but he’s already so good at finding toy videos on YouTube. He’s constantly showing me his discoveries. So, when I discovered this channel of a Filipino boy who does toy reviews on YouTube, I immediately told my son about it. The channel is called “The Toy Patrol“.
Who’s the Toy Patrol, you ask? He’s 7-year-old Santino Espinoza.
You might recognize him because he’s a product endorser and actor. He started doing TV ads at the age 4. His very first gig was a shoot in Bangkok for a Safeguard ad. Locally, he has done ads for Jollibee, Globe Telecom (Cinema Ad and Viral Ad), Eggnog, and Nutroplex, which is currently airing. He has also appeared on some TV programs. Actually, right now, he’s a regular cast of the ABS-CBN noontime series,”Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita”, where he portrays the role of “Andrew”, the rich son of Denise Laurel and Christian Vasquez.
His mom, Jasmin, said that Santino has been glued on Youtube since he was a toddler and spends hours watching cool toy reviews. In fact, he has always wanted to do the same thing. Finally, in March of this year, he got his chance when Jasmin found a work-at-home job as videographer, tasked to edit videos and to review toys on Youtube. Thus, Santino the Toy Patrol came into fruition.
Santino as “The Toy Patrol” and friends play with toys for all ages. They show all kinds of toys and brands that kids love such as Legos, Disney, Play Doh, Glitter Glide Dolls, Nickelodeon Peppa Pig, Hello Kitty, Surprise Toy Eggs, Disney Cars and Planes, Hot Wheels Racers, Disney Frozen, Shopkins, Pixar Monsters Inc, ICE AGE, and more!
Looking for educational videos? The Toy Patrol has those too. They have all sorts of videos that will teach your toddler how to count, ABC’s, colors, shapes, and puzzles.
Now let me share with you some of our favorite Toy Patrol videos so far.
Our Ziggy loves Paw Patrol. It’s one of his favorite cartoons. So, it’s no wonder he really liked this video.
Ziggy has also been bugging us to buy Cra-Z-Sand. So when he saw this video on the Cra-Z-Sand version called the Mold n’ Play Cool Cars, you bet he loved it.
The videos are really fun to watch with your kids. Ziggy loves it! I guess because aside from just seeing the toys, he can relate with Santino too. Santino is so adorable. You can tell how much he loves doing the videos and how much fun he has doing them. Jasmin says they do a minimum of 100 toys a month! Wow, right? What kid wouldn’t love doing this?
Sometimes, Jasmin’s 10-year-old niece and her 13-year-old brother joins in doing reviews, especially for toys that requires more than 1 player. They also do some challenges like the minion challenge, cupcake challenge and more.
It’s really a fun channel. Do visit The Toy Patrol on YouTube now and support Santino!
Will check this channel out! Thanks for sharing!
My eldest loved watching toy review videos before. She liked Evan Tube. Now, she watched Minecraft playing videos.

I love this kid! He’s very confident when he speaks and I can tell with his animated face that he loves doing these reviews. All kids would love to do what he’s doing! 🙂 I remember when we were young, there was a toy show every Sunday morning on ABS-CBN Channel 2 (right after the Chinese shows). I was always up early to watch that show. Now that there’s The Toy Patrol, kids have something to watch out for. Us moms will enjoy watching this too. 🙂

It’s amazing how kids can just keep tapping and they’d find themselves some videos on youtube. My kids do it all the time. I’ve seen them come across toy reviews also. I’m not sure though if it’s Toy Patrol. I will have to watch also. Haha. Btw, my son still asks about Ziggy, the boy in white that he met at Fun Ranch during the vitacubes event. Hehe. 🙂
