Time flies so fast! I can never say that enough. Eleven years ago last Saturday, I became a mom for the first time to my first baby, Zoe. Now, she’s not a baby anymore. She’s eleven! Although that kind of makes me feel a little old (hehe!), I am so happy for the young woman she’s turning out to be.
At eleven years old, Zoe’s already more mature than other girls her age. She’s a very good Ate to both Ziya and Ziggy. She’s responsible and independent. She’s super smart, always the top one in her entire batch in school. Apart from the academics, she’s also a great dancer and singer. Well, she got that from me. Haha! I guess, the only think I worry about her now is the fact that she’s starting to become more of a teenager with each passing day. The day before her birthday, she actually trimmed her eyebrows with scissors! Horror!!! Of course, it didn’t turn out well but at least it wasn’t that obvious unless you really look at it closely. I had to explain to her how to properly groom eyebrows and told her that she doesn’t need to worry about that yet. My gosh!!! I don’t want her to grow up too fast! Anyway, we originally planned to celebrate her birthday with a fun trip to the Human Nature farm in Angat, Bulacan. Unfortunately, the event there that was scheduled on Zoe’s birthday was postponed to February instead. Oh well! So, since there wasn’t enough time to plan anything else, we just decided to have a fun day out in Alabang. But before that, at breakfast time, we let Zoe decorate her own cake using the DIY cake set from Goldilocks. I think she did a pretty good job with it! She enjoyed it a lot! |

Come noon, we went to have lunch at the newly-opened Uncle Cheffy’s restaurant at Molito, Alabang. We were the first customers that day so it was really nice and quiet. We had Zoe choose what type of Panizza she wants and she chose the Seafood Lovers, which consists of salmon, shrimp, clams, squid, herbs, onions and 3 cheese. It was so yummy and the girls loved rolling the Panizza. We definitely need to try the other varieties next time.
Celebrated with lunch at Uncle Cheffy’s in Molito, Alabang. Yummy food, great service! |
We also ordered the Grilled Oysters. Actually, I ordered it because I miss oysters! Uncle Cheffy’s version is served with ginger green mango relish, which gives it a different kick. I liked it but still prefer baked oysters over this one. As another main course, we also ordered the Garlic Studded Pork Belly Lechon, which was hubby’s pick. Oooh, we are a family that loves lechon and since we were celebrating a birthday, it was but proper to celebrate with one. Haha, excuses!!!
