Family Fun at Royale Tagaytay Country Club

Yesterday, was a very fun and tiring day for the family. We all woke up very early so that we could leave by 7:00 a.m. to go to my sister-in-law’s house. We had breakfast there with the hubby’s immediate family and then by 8:30 a.m. off we went to Tagaytay. Oohhh, the day before when we first found out about the trip, I became really excited because it has been a while since the last time we took Zoe and Ziya to Tagaytay. My last trip there was way back in December 2009 when hubby and I attended my friend’s wedding while I was 7 months pregnant with Ziggy. That was our last overnight trip as a couple. Hay, I miss those. I digress. Anyway, I was most excited about the fact that this was to be Ziggy’s first trip to Tagaytay.

We all met up with my hubby’s other relatives at the Royale Tagaytay Country Club. The kids and I have never been there so it was nice to explore a new place. The first thing the kids ran to when we got there was the playground. Unfortunately, it was wet because it was raining on and off, which sucks. It’s better to explore Tagaytay when it’s not raining. Will come back soon! So, anyway, they just posed for photos near the playground instead.

We arrived earlier than the rest of the family and so the kids had lots of fun exploring and running around, which left the adults super tired by the end of the day. We explored the fish pond, which had a cute little bridge as well. 

The kids super loved looking at the fish swimming about. Here’s a photo of us with my sis-in-law, Cris, and her two boys, Mccoy and Rocky.

Oh, and the kids were very excited and in awe of this frog swimming in the pond. It eventually hopped unto the rocks. I am actually NOT very fond of frogs. Ewww!!! So I didn’t really want to take a photo of it but Ziya insisted, which really surprised me because she usually hates icky, slimy stuff. Oh well!

The kids also found a function room they could play in. There were still tables and chairs in the area from an event that had ended probably the day before. There were still balloons hanging on the ceiling. They all ended up playing with the balloons. They had a blast! At the end of it all, you could see a lot of popped balloons strewn all over the place.

Finally, it was time to eat. There were pretty much a lot of selections. There was a pasta bar, a soup bar, a Korean food bar, a salad bar, the main menu table and a dessert bar. However, I decided to be disciplined enough to not try everything. Haha! I ended up just eating this salad……

…. and this main course consisting of Roast Chicken, Pork Ribs with Black Bean Sauce (which I liked!) and Creamed Vegetables. I ate some dessert too but wasn’t able to take a photo.

Ziggy ate his favorite noodles, plus this pizza. I guess, judging by his facial expression, you’d know that he was super hungry already after all that playing and running around.

After lunch, we spent more time running around again that I was already too tired to take any more photos when the kids discovered the bowling alley and the playground. I meant to take a photo of Ziggy with the Taal Volcano at the background since this was his first trip to Tagaytay. However, the traffic was really bad and it was raining once we left the country club, plus Ziggy was so tired he immediately fell asleep in the car. Oh well, there’s always next time!
