Oh, I think it would be an understatement to say that it has been very hot here lately. The heat is excruciating!! If not for our air conditioning, we would not survive staying at home at all. Yesterday, though, since it was Sunday, Kai and I decided to take the kids to Bonifacio Global City again. It’s one of our favorite places to go whenever we want to hang out with the kids because it’s fun there. Aside from shopping and eating, kids and pets are free to roam and run in the grass. The main reason we went there yesterday, though, was because we found out that the new family park there was finally open to the public. It was a free summer adventure for the kids so, off we went! Unfortunately, of all the days, I forgot the digicam at home and so I had no choice but to use my mobile phone to take pictures. So, sorry if a lot of them are blurred.
We got there at around 4:00 p.m. and it was still scorching hot. At first we hung out at the playground, which was really cool because it has the swings and the slides and all but the way they were made was different. Check this out.
Finally, around 5:00 p.m. it became a little cooler and we found a place with a shade wherein we were able to set our picnic blanket, snacks and drinks.
The park was really nice because it was organized in such a way that the place was divided according to popular Filipino childrens’ games. Aside from the playground, there was also a maze and areas for Luksong Baka, Patintero and Piko. Zoe, Ziya and I actually played two rounds of patintero. It was so much! I found myself missing my childhood. Since I wasn’t able to take a photo of us playing, I just took a shot of the other kids playing patintero instead.
There were also other cool things to see like this area wherein the kids can climb up and down the stairs. As they do so, they will step on circles that will play musical notes.
There’s also this dinosaur-looking thing that babies will love because it’s “scales” are made in such a way that it turns around and around when you move it.
After we got tired of the park, we went to this other area in BGC where there were fountains. It’s the new area near Bonifacio High Street, where the new Jamba Juice can be located. However, our main purpose for going there were the fountains because Kai and I saw kids playing there the last time we were there. We wanted the kids to play in the water to relieve themselves of the heat. And play they did!!!! Ziggy loved it!!!! Zoe and Ziya loved it too but since they didn’t bring extra clothes they had to be extra careful not to wet what they had on.
It was such a fun and wet family day! I truly love days like this. We love it so much we’re going back again this weekend. Yahoo!
