Oh, things have been really, really hectic in our family lately that I wasn’t able to make my usual Project Yearbook post last week. So, I decided to just combine weeks 27 and 28 in one post. Here are the updates on baby Ziggy for the past two weeks.
Week 27
Ziggy’s Week 27 was a pretty regular week. Nothing super spectacular happened. We didn’t introduce any new food but we did notice that he’s getting tired of “too soupy” pureed food. So, I made a mental note of that and decided to try something a little more “crunchy” next time.
This week we were so happy that Ziggy’s cough and colds were finally gone. I was so over wiping his nose and trying to remove snot because he doesn’t like it when we do it.
Here are his Week 27 photos:
Week 27 started with Day 183. In this photo, Ziggy is on his tummy playing with one of his favorite toys. He still hates tummy time but at least now he can stay in that position longer before becoming irritated.

For Day 184, I took this photo of Ziggy while he was in his walker. Obviously here, instead of walking, he’s chewing on his walker instead, which I highly discourage, by the way. It’s super frustrating having to pry his mouth from that thing.

On Day 185, I gave Ziggy a fan to play with. He was so curious about it since he’s never held a fan before. It was really funny seeing him figure out what to do with it.

On Day 186, we were just playing around on the sofa bed when Ziggy woke up from his afternoon nap. Got this photo of him sticking his tongue out. He does that a lot lately, as well as sucking on his lips. I think those are signs of teething already. Can’t wait to see his first tooth!

Ziggy really loves food! Whenever he’s eating he can hardly wait for the next spoonful to be given to him. It’s really funny the way how he hunches over on his table just to be nearer to his bowl of food. Kai took this photo of Ziggy while eating on Day 187. During this time, we discovered that Ziggy now knows how to pose for the camera. He knew that Kai was taking his picture and so he paused while taking the food from the spoon and waited until he saw the flash. Haha! I think we have a model in the making!

We stopped by Kai’s sister’s house on Day 188. I had Ziggy try sitting on the rocking chair in their living room and he loved it!

Day 189 was my nephew, Zack’s birthday party. I took that as an opportunity to take a photo of Ziggy with my mom because they hardly ever get to see each other. Awwww!

Week 28

On Week 28, Ziggy got sick again with cough and colds and this time it was worse than the last. So, Kai and I wasted no time and immediately gave him the two medicines that his pediatrician prescribed previously. We gave him Klaz and Ventolin for a week. Oh, he hated taking the Klaz. We even had to give him a spoonful of food right after he takes it because he really cringes and makes gagging sounds like he wants to throw up. The worst part is that he had to take it three times a day. Towards the middle of the week, he ended up not wanting to take even his vitamins. But because he’s a really good boy, we were still able to convince him to open his mouth and take them. I’m just so happy that his cough and colds are finally gone!
This week we took Ziggy for his first check up with an ENT. We actually had to take the girls but we figured since Ziggy had a cold that we’d have him checked too. Anyway, in the clinic, they checked for his weight and length of course. Ziggy know weighs a whopping 10.56 kilos or 23.3 lbs!!!! His length is now 72 cms. Yup, yup, yup! We’re definitely going to have one tall child one day.
As for other developments, Ziggy can now “crawl” backwards. Haha! It’s so funny seeing him try to raise his big butt. He’s getting better at it everyday. I’m not in a hurry for him to start crawling though. I want to savor every moment left that he’s still really a baby.
Here are his Week 28 photos:
On Day 190, I took a photo of Ziggy sleeping. He still sleeps the same.

Day 191 was when we all went to the ENT’s clinic, which was in a mall. We saw this piano displayed in the mall and of course, Daddy Kai, being the musician, just had to let Ziggy try it.

For Day 192,  I took a photo of Ziggy playing with his ball again.

For Day 193, however, I took a photo of him playing with his Po stuffed toy.

After giving Ziggy a bath on Day 194, I realized we don’t have a photo of Ziggy wearing his towel on his head, so I took one. So cute!

Day 195 is the day of my friend, Macy’s son, Asher, who turned 7 years old. The theme of the party was rodeo. Since we didn’t have the time to look for costumes for the kids, we just bought bandanas that they can wear on their neck. Cute!

Day 196 was Kai’s birthday! I know the photo here should be of him and Ziggy. However, the only photo of them together on this day was taken when Ziggy was asleep. You can’t even see his face in the photo so I chose this photo instead. We celebrated with dinner at Papa John’s together with Kai’s sister, Cris and her family.

Phew! That was a LOT! Let’s hope I never have to do two posts in one again. I’m tired!
