I’m so happy that this month’s Mommy Moments meme is dedicated to the daddys mainly because this my chance to gush about my hubby. Kai and I got together only three years ago when my daughters, Zoe and Ziya, were already 6 and 5 years old, respectively. It took a few months before I finally introduced them to each other because I wanted to make sure first that our new relationship was really serious already. Of course, it took some time for them to adjust to each other but eventually it became comfortable enough for us to consider jumping to next step, which was living together. That was when Kai first became a dad.
Zoe and Ziya call Kai their Papi, which is Spanish for father. They love him because they know he does what he can to take care of them. They love him because he’s funny and makes them laugh. They love him because he does fun activities with them such as arts and crafts and cooking. They’re proud of him whenever they see him sing on stage with his band. But most of all I think they love him most because they know he loves and takes care of me. Here are just some of the photos of Kai’s bonding moments with our girls.

I just knew Kai would be a great dad and I also knew that although he loves the girls and treats them like his own, he also wanted a child from his own flesh and blood. We finally made that happen when Ziggy was born three months ago. I was so happy to make one of his dreams come true. Oh you should see how proud and protective he is of his boy, especially since Ziggy looks so much like him. Kai was so excited for Ziggy to be born that he took all of his vacation leaves from work already during the week when we were expecting me to go into labor. Below is Kai’s first photo with Ziggy taken at the nursery of the hospital.
I love taking photos of Kai’s bonding moments with Ziggy. He loves taking care of his boy, from changing Ziggy’s diapers, giving him a bath, playing with him and putting him to sleep. He’s just such a devoted daddy. Here are some of their bonding moments.
