I am a big believer that play is an integral part of a child’s development. There are certainly a lot of ways to encourage playing and likewise, so many toys to choose from. But, as a mom, I don’t let my children play with just any kind of toy. They have to be of good quality (because we want it to last), age-appropriate and of course, safe for kids to use. Luckily, these days it’s no longer hard to find toys that have all these three qualities. You can actually find a lot of brands that have these qualities in Toytown.

Last Tuesday, I was fortunate to have been invited to a lunch event that Toytown organized for blogger mom’s like me. It was held at Craving’s restaurant at the EDSA Shangri-La Plaza Mall.

I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of people who have already become addicted with loom bracelet making. My girls were actually very interested to learn how to make these bracelets and fortunately, there was a demo during the event using the Cra-Z-loom Bracelet maker set. It already consists of everything you need to create your own bracelets, necklaces, rings and more. But rubber band refills are also sold separately if you need more.

Of course, I had to try it out too.  We were taught an easy-to-follow pattern. I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Here’s what we were able to make. It was fun! I can now understand why a lot of people find it very addicting.
