When Kai and I first got together I somehow had the feeling that he would be a great dad, which was something that was really really important to me. You see, when we met I already had two daughters and while they still have a good relationship with their dad, I considered it imperative that they have a great relationship with their stepdad too. Kai is so great with my girls, always making sure that they’re taken care of and learn new things everyday.
One of the things Kai does with the girls is teach them how to cook. The girls absolutely enjoy cooking with their Papi (Spanish for “father”). They’ve already whipped up a lot of stuff at home. One of the meals they prepared a few nights ago was Lumpiang Shanghai, which is a Filipino dish. It is more like pork spring rolls. The Lumpiang Shanghai mixture consists of ground pork, onions, carrots and some seasonings, which is then placed inside a wrapper and fried.
Here they are putting mixture into the wrappers.
The girls look really serious doing this because they do take cooking seriously!

Here’s a close up shot of Ziya putting in the mixture.

The meal turned out to be great! Super tasty! Yummy! Unfortunately, I was so hungry by the time the food was ready that I forgot to take photos of the finished product. Oh well, maybe next time!

I would really love a follow back especially on Facebook and GFC. I had a bad link to FB all those months I thought I was getting followers until 2 weeks ago when I did a website grader it said I had zero followers so now I am running around like a chicken without its head trying to catch up! Thanks for your help and have a great week!

  3. How special that your girls like to cook with their dad! That’s such a wonderful way for them to bond and build memories together!

My girls bond with their dad via comic book superheroes. Yes…you heard me right! He’s always had a love and passion for a good super hero story, and now he’s passed that passion on to our daughters.

    Blessings,
