It’s Ziggy’s 11th week, which means he’s getting so close to being 3 months old! I’m so excited since we’re planning something nice to celebrate his 3rd month birthday.
Anyway, we went for another check-up with Ziggy’s pediatrician earlier today. He’s getting bigger and bigger! He has gained 1.4 kilos since our last doctors visit, making his present weight 6.9 kilos. So heavy for an 11 week old baby. Our target is to have him gain only a maximum of 1 kilo. But at least this month’s weight gain was less than last month’s, which was 2.5 kilos. Ziggy’s growing longer now too. He now measures 59 cms.
Today, Ziggy’s pediatrician gave him his first dose of the 6-in-1 vaccine. My poor baby cried when he was injected on his thigh and he cried for a really long time. It didn’t help that he was already cranky from interrupted sleep to begin with. Aside from that, the visit went well. The doctor advised us to tape Ziggy’s protruding belly button, to reverse his umbilical hernia. We were also advised to put some cream on his forehead because of the white rashes he has. The doctor also gave us new activities to do with Ziggy such as giving him more tummy time to strengthen his back. He’s doing pretty good at this, actually, as you will see in one of the photos below.
Ziggy continues to laugh and squeal a lot whenever he’s in a good mood. But his cries still can get really loud when he’s cranky. All in all, Ziggy’s doing so well! Here are his Week 11 photos:
Day 71 photo was taken with my mom, Grandma Jenny when she came to our house for a visit.
Day 72 photo was taken at home when Daddy Kai placed Ziggy on his tummy. He’s starting to like tummy time now as you can see here. I love this photo so much I made it my profile photo on my Facebook!
On Day 73, I took a photo of Ziggy in his carseat when we were using it at home. We hung some toys on the carseat handle so he can play with them. He doesn’t know how to play with them yet but he responds when we play the sounds and he stares at them a lot.
Day 74 is a sleeping photo. His usual sleeping position is with his two arms up but here he put up just one.
I haven’t taken a photo of me and Ziggy for a while so on Day 75 I posed with him in bed.
On Day 76, we had dinner out with Daddy Kai’s parents and two nephews. Here is Ziggy at the restaurant posing with his Grandma Ging and cousin McCoy.
This last photo was taken at home when Ziggy was cranky and sleepy. Here Daddy Kai was trying to put him to sleep.
I am absolutely in love with my Ziggy!
