Here we go again. It’s review week once again. It’s the week before the kids’ final exams in school, which for us means not just reviewing for the exams but also finishing up with all the projects they are required to do as well. It is going to be one hectic week. I am sure of that because it has always been that way ever since the girls started grade school.
Oh, even if Ziya is now being homeschooled, she still has to do all those projects and prepare for the same final exams since she is technically still enrolled in the school and we follow their curriculum. However, the pressure is greater, I think, because she’s expected to achieve more and learn more because she can focus more on learning here at home. Just imagine how much pressure that puts on me as the homeschooling mom.
The first day of review week has just ended and I am so exhausted. Ziya and I tried to finish the rest of the Math lessons that we still have to cover. Take note that I said “tried”. However, we were able to finish one project, which was the one for her English subject. There are two more to do tomorrow. As for Zoe, since she comes home late from school, she was only able to start on the last project she’s going to submit. She already finished her other two projects last week because they had earlier deadlines. The kids were actually not able to review today but I guess that’s okay because at least, they were able to start on it already last weekend. However, I have researched some worksheets for them to answer so I’ll have them do those within the next few days.
Right now, I just want to fall in bed and sleep but I’ve been feeling guilty for kind of neglecting my blogging life for the past month. I still get to blog a few times a week but I have been slacking a lot with my Project Yearbook posts. It’s just that they require more work because there are photos that have to be edited. There are also events that I have yet to blog about too. I am just too tired to do them but I hope I’ll find the energy to do so soon. Life in our blended family of five is just too hectic and crazy right now.
I need a break!
