Ever since Ziggy was born, we’ve all been anticipating the day he will turn 1. That’s certainly one milestone that we planned on celebrating. So, for months, I fretted over his birthday party preparations. Months ago, we already decided that the theme would be Mickey Mouse Clubhouse because Ziggy just loves the show. However, it wasn’t exactly that easy to plan the party since there has been a lot of changes in our household during the past several months and things have been crazy around here. Because of that, we decided to settle on a McDonald’s Kiddie party because first, they have the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme and second, they can do everything for us. We just had to send out the invitations, order the food and come to the venue during our selected date. Easy, worry-free, party planning. Hahaha!
Anyway, as all McDonald’s Kiddie parties go, it only lasted one hour and a half. I wish it could have been longer so that we could have had more time to hang out with our guests. Nevertheless, it was a pretty fun occasion although Ziggy cried a lot. I think he was a bit overwhelmed because of the noise. He’s not used to someone speaking over a loud microphone (the host) and to loud music either so that really upset him. He eventually calmed down though but he never really got in the mood to let other people carry him.
I’d like to share some of the photos from the party. I made digital scrapbook pages using the My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking software (by the way, I’m giving away a free copy of it so if you’re interested, click here!). I made 26 pages total but let me just share a few of those with you today.
Here’s the cover page I created.
Of course, I had to take photos of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse decor and amenities.
I took these photos of Ziggy just before the guests arrived.
Of course, there has to be a family photo and photos with Mommy and Daddy.
Oh my gosh, Zoe and Ziya were super excited for this day to come. They really couldn’t wait to celebrate Ziggy’s special day. They are Ziggy’s biggest fans. I loved this photo so much that I used it as my cover photo on my personal Facebook account!
Ziggy’s other biggest fans are, of course, his grandparents!
Everybody loved it when Grimace, Hamburglar and Birdie made an appearance!
Oh, there were games, of course, not just for the kids but for the adults as well. For the adult game, I prepared questions about Ziggy. We had the guests form two groups, one with all women and one with all men. The group who got the most correct answers won the game. Guess who won? The women, of course!
What’s a birthday party without a birthday cake, right? Here’s the cake that came with the package.
Lastly, here are some photos of Ziggy while we were opening his gifts the day after the party. As expected, most of the guests gave toys, toys and more toys! Ziggy couldn’t be happier.
Oh, this is definitely one milestone we will never forget. Now, I wonder what we will do for his next birthday party. Haha!
hi! is mickey mouse clubhouse theme still available sis?
hoping to have wonderful birthday for my baby boy!
