I was just talking to a former work colleague a while ago and I was once again reminded that things really do happen for a reason. We talked about how my other former colleagues were doing and I found out that not everyone in my team were regularized. I wasn’t able to get all the gory details but suffice it to say that there were certain issues that happened since I left. So now, some of my other colleagues who are still in the company are now thinking of leaving as well.
I really can’t say I’m surprised. I’m not saying that my short stay there was horrible. It’s just that it was a situation wherein I knew I wasn’t going to last anyway. I have always been not that attracted to working for multinational companies because I’m not the type of person who likes competition. I always had that impression that in order to succeed in those kinds of companies, you’d have to do whatever it takes even if that meant stepping on other people’s toes or kissing ass. In this case, I think I was right.
Several months ago, when I had to leave my job in that company, I was sad mostly because I had made really great friends there during my short stay. They were the ones who made working there bearable. I didn’t fully understood the reasons why those things happened at that time. I just had to trust God, knowing that He knows best and that he has reasons for whatever happens in our life. It took some time before His reasons were revealed to me. Now, I understand….after talking to my friend today, I realized that God just wanted to save me from what would have been a more miserable situation for me. So, I’m very grateful and happy to know that right now, I am exactly where God wants me to be.
