I have been so busy lately! I was so busy I haven’t been online for a week. Imagine that! Anyway, one of the main reasons for my busy schedule last week was the fact that we were still frantically finding a new school for Zoe and Ziya. We decided it was high time to transfer them to a new one because we were having problems with the school bus in their old school. That school is just too far and it’s no longer practical for the girls to stay there. We will all miss it though. They’ve been in that school for five years. I will always be grateful to them for so many things, especially since it was also where I started school at the age of two. However, some good things just don’t last.
Thankfully, I was already able to find them a good school nearby. It’s a bigger school than what they’re used to. They will have more classmates and the school itself is bigger. I know there are disadvantages to that but since homeschooling them can no longer be an option, this is the next best thing. The administrators in the new school are very accommodating. I’ve heard good things about the school and the students they produce so I have high hopes that my girls will do well there. It will take some adjusting but I’m sure that they’ll be able to handle it.
Finally, the girls were able to take the entrance exams already. Their dad and I were able to enroll them, buy their books and supplies and other school stuff such as new socks, shoes, rubber shoes, etc. During times like these, I am really grateful to my ex for continuing to be a good father to the girls. I know that there are other kids who have been abandoned by their fathers and can only rely on their mom for their financial needs. My girls are lucky that they have a dad who loves them and will continue to support them as much as he can.
Zoe and Ziya will finally start school on Wednesday. Only one more day left to enjoy summer freedom. I still have one more day left to finish wrapping Zoe and Ziya’s books and notebooks! Oh no! One more thing left to do and we’re ready for school!
