Last Sunday was of course family day as usual. We had made plans to visit my friend’s event, Affare di Mercato, in the afternoon. The night before, though, my youngest brother, Leonard, asked me to go to his house the next day so that we can all watch movie downloads together and let the kids play. You see, his four-year-old son, Zack, is the only cousin that my kids have from my side of the family.
So, of course, after visiting the event, we went to Tito Leonard’s house. My mom also went since she just lives nearby. It has been a few months since the last time we hung out there. Well, as planned we were able to watch some movies, the adults at least, while the kids played in the yard. I was hardly able to watch the movies though because I had to watch Ziggy while he tried to keep up with his sisters and cousin while playing. My hubby did most of the watching. Haha! At least, I got to eat a lot of the Pancit Malabon that my brother had delivered from Amber’s.
Here’s the photo that my sister-in-law, Tricia, took of me and Ziggy by the front door. Looking at this, I realized that most of Ziggy’s new photos don’t include me. It’s just that I’m usually the one taking photos of my kids. Haha! So, even if my body is cut in half in this photo, I still like it.
Here’s a photo of Ziggy that I took during one of the very few moments he sat down on this chair. He was running around so much, copying what Zoe, Ziya and Zack were doing that I could hardly keep up with him. (You might have noticed that all their names begin with Z. Haha! Well, I started it with Zoe and Ziya then my brother just followed suit!). Of course, Ziggy did his famous wacky expression, which I was so happy about because it has been a while since I’ve been able to capture it on a photo.
Of course, I didn’t miss the opportunity to take photos of my kids with Zack. I don’t think they’ve ever had a photo with just the four of them. This one’s really nice. I love it!
It was a simple but really nice bonding experience with my family. It’s just too bad that my other brother, Kim, and my sister, Joan, weren’t there with us.
