I know, it’s not even Christmas yet and I’m already thinking about summer. The fact this, although we still have stuff to do to prepare for Christmas, I’m not really worried about it because I’ve got it all planned. Planning a vacation for our family of five is a lot trickier!
Last summer, we were unable to have a vacation. We had an issue on costs plus we were also worried about traveling with a one-year old. So, we haven’t had a vacation yet as a family of five. That’s why I am hell bent on going on vacation next summer. Ziggy would be two years old by then so I am hoping it will be easier to travel with him.
The thing is, I don’t know where to go yet. So far I have already perused travel blog after travel blog in the hopes of getting ideas. I need to come up with at least three possible locations so that I can present them to my hubby and we can decide where to go. I need to know now because we still have to save up for that trip.
We have some requirements though. Here they are:
# 1 No plane rides.
This is mainly because of the cost factor. I’d rather we go somewhere where we can take a road trip instead. So, obviously it has to be a local destination, preferably in Luzon.
# 2 It has to be a beach resort.
Although we’ve taken Ziggy swimming before, we have yet to take him to the beach. It has been over a year since we’ve taken the girls to the beach too. Plus I love the beach and I miss it! It would be nice to finally feel the sand in between my toes.
# 3 It has to be a safe, family-friendly destination.
It can’t be in the middle of nowhere. It has to be safe and comfortable. We’d love it if there are other fun activities we can do besides enjoy the beach. We want this to be a great bonding experience so we need loads of great ideas that will keep the kids happy and active.
# 4 It has to be pocket-friendly.
Although I wish we have a ton of money that we can just splurge anytime we want, the reality is that we have to save up for this trip. We plan on taking the trip by April of next year so we more or less have four months to finish saving. I don’t think that we have to spend so much just to have a nice vacation. I know there are great places to go out there that won’t leave a hole in our pockets.
So, what do you say? Help us out, please! We’d appreciate any info or suggestion you can give. Just leave a comment below. Thanks guys!!!
