A few months ago, I blogged about letting go of some clients of mine because I was no longer happy doing my jobs. It was a hard decision to make because it meant letting go of a steady monthly income from one of my clients and the prospect of additional income from another. But the bottom line was, I was putting in so much time and effort into things I was no longer passionate about. It was time I started valuing my time again.

What I decided then was that, in terms of my WAHM life, I would only focus on one thing – what my heart really wanted to do, WRITE. That means both my freelance writing career and growing this blog.

Soon after that post, blog opportunities and partnerships started coming in. It was really like the universe started to conspire with me to help me achieve my goals. Finally, I started to feel happy again. I had come back to ME.

For a while there though, I thought the opportunities would mostly be for this blog and not really for my freelance writing career. But I never stopped on believing even if I was in between clients for a little while. Because isn’t that what life is about? There are good times and bad times, ups and downs. A roller coaster, indeed. But I knew I just had to enjoy the ride. I knew time will come that I will receive another writing opportunity and I was right.

About a month ago, a good writer friend of mine, Tina, referred me to this site that will be relaunching in May. It’s called The Asian Parent Philippines.

The Asian Parent is a popular parenting site that has local sites in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. They’ve also had a Philippine site but it hasn’t been active for a while. Good thing they’ve decided to relaunch soon, in May, thus the need to hire new writers, like me.

Yes, I am so thrilled to let you know that I’m now one of the contributors for The Asian Parent Philippines. Happy dance! It’s another milestone for me. Another thing to add to my growing freelance writing profile. So, now I can really say I made the right decision to focus on my writing.

Although The Asian Parent Philippines will still be officially launched in May, I’m too excited to wait. Haha! One of my articles has already been published actually. If you follow my Facebook page and Instagram account, you’d know this already. Do check out this article of mine called 10 Creative Scrapbook Designs for Your Baby Book. I hope you like it. And, if you don’t mind, hit those share buttons so that more people will be able to find it. Thanks!

I still can’t get over the feeling of having a byline even though this is not the first time. Sometimes, I still can’t believe it. It took so long for me to find my true passion, then to find my voice. I’m just so incredibly blessed that this is really happening to me. God is SO good!
