My family and I love to travel although we don’t get to do a whole lot of it. However, when we do go on road trips, I really have to do a lot of advance planning because we’re bringing along three kids. I pack days in advance to make sure that we all have everything we could ever need on our trip. My mantra is to “always be prepared” because you never know what might happen when you travel.
With that said, we never leave home without a hygiene kit because it’s not always easy to find a decent restroom when you travel. So, it’s best to just bring your own stuff. Let me share with you then the hygiene products that I always have to bring when we travel. Here are the Top 5 on my list.
Medicines
On long road trips, you can never really tell if someone will suddenly get dizzy. You can also not predict if your child will suddenly get sick with the flu. This has happened to us already a few times before. So, I make sure that I always have medicines for fever, cough and colds for the kids. For me and hubby, I make sure to bring pain killers in case we suddenly get a headache.
Wet Wipes
I think all moms with kids will agree with me on this. Ziggy’s still wearing diapers so we really need the wet wipes when we change his diapers, in case we find ourselves in a place where there’s no decent restroom to wash him. Also, he’s always touching almost anything and everything. Using wet wipes is just the fastest way to remove dirt on his hands, then we just follow up with proper washing as soon as we find a restroom.
For me, wet wipes also come in handy every time I use the toilet. I also use them sometimes when I need to wipe my face with something moist, like when it’s sweltering hot!
Hand Sanitizer
Not all restrooms have soap. So, even if you rinse your hands with water, they will still not be clean. In this case, a hand sanitizer is the way to go. I always have one in my bag. I make sure that the kids also have one each in their own bags. Even hubby has a huge bottle stashed in the car.
Brush/Comb and Hair Accessories
I think this is a must if you have girls in the family. My girls have long hair and sometimes, when we leave the house early, their hair will still be wet from the shower. While I always remind them to have their own comb and hair ties in their bags, I still bring some extras in case they will need it. Now that my hair is short, all I really need is a comb. But during those times when my hair is long, I always bring several hair ties with me so that I can keep my hair out of my face. It’s just neater that way.
Feminine Wash
I always like being clean and feeling fresh. But on long road trips, especially on hot summer days, sometimes you can’t help but to feel sticky and yucky. So, to always feel fresh and clean, I always bring a small bottle of feminine wash with me, just like Priva Intimate Wash.
Priva is a gentle feminine wash product created by Unilab. It is proven safe for everyday use. It is actually available in two variants – Skin Lightening and Cooling and Skin Firming and Cooling. I love this product because it really makes me feel fresh because of the cooling sensation it leaves on your skin. It is brought about by a special ingredient called Revitacool. I’ve been using it for about a month already. Find out why I love it by reading my review of these products by clicking here.
I think that having these items with me makes keeping clean and fresh easier when we travel. I’m sure you guys have your own must-haves too. Care to share in the comments?
I bring all of those regardless hehehe:) Will try Priva next time!

You and I have the same list. I prefer alcohol over hand sanitizer, though. 🙂

Ah, the only reason I don’t bring alcohol anymore is because I know the hubby always has a big bottle in the car. 🙂

Inside my bag there’s a claydo, alcohol, perfume. I’m not a fan of bringing wet wipes because I always bring face towel and a handkerchief.

My hubby usually brings a face towel too, but at the same time, keeps a pack of wet wipes in the car. But it’s more of for the kids though. 🙂
