My “Taking On The World” Playlist

Last week, I blogged about discovering Spotify and how happy I was about it. Since then I’ve already created several playlists of my favorite songs as well as of recent discoveries. As promised, I’ll be sharing them with you guys.

I usually choose my clothes according to my mood and that’s exactly how I’ve organized my playlists too. For the past week, I’ve been feeling a sense of relief that I’m finally rid of this work situation that has been making me feel so demotivated to work. Now, I’m free and ready to take on the world! Yay!

So let me share with you a few fun songs from my “Taking on the World” playlist. It’s perfect for those who need some motivation and inspiration. I feel it reflects my freedom to choose which path to take next, the one that will lead me (hopefully!) to where I really want to go. Here goes!

This song resonates with me because I used to be that person who would remain quiet even if something was already bothering me. But I’ve since learned to speak up. I think being a writer, and having this blog, has made me a bit more brave to say what’s in my mind, even if I know some people might not like what I have to say.

Yup, here’s another one by Katy Perry. Right now I’m in search of another place to shine and I know that soon enough I’m going to find it. Some people may not appreciate what I bring to the table but for sure, there will be others who will and I’ll be better off with them.

I have trouble letting go but little by little I’m learning to do so more easily. I’ve realized that the best days of your life happen when you let go of the things, people and situations that just don’t contribute positively to your life anymore. It is only when you let go of those things that you are able to move on to better things.

Chasing the Sun by Hillary Duff

I’ve always loved Hillary Duff, even back when she was a tween in the hit show, Lizzie Maquire. It has been a while since she recorded her last song so I’m happy that she’s back with this new song I love so much. I can’t get it out of my head.

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s easy for anyone to get caught up with work, chores and things we think of as urgent and important. But we have to remember that life is short and that we should treasure the precious moments. It reminds me of what’s truly important and I think that’s especially necessary if I am to conquer the world.
