Review: Store More, Waste Less with Tupperware Fresh Staks (and a Giveaway!)

You know what I hate the most when it comes to food? Waste. I hate seeing a lot of leftovers in the fridge that never gets eaten until it spoils you have no choice but to throw them away.

I also hate it when people put food in the fridge using random plates and bowls (like what some people here at home love to do, to my dismay!). They’re so unhygienic, not to mention such a waste of space. For a big family, space is oftentimes a big problem for us when it comes to our small fridge.

So, what’s a mom to do? Use food storage products that does the job of keeping food fresh while keeping the fridge organized as well. It was really such a good thing that Tupperware Fresh Staks came to the rescue.

We received two sets of the Tupperware Fresh Staks about a week ago and it really made me so happy. Being such an OC person, I wanted to teach everyone here at home how important proper food storage is and how equally important it is to use food storage products that does its job well.

I happily tried the Tupperware Fresh Staks sets given to us. Let me tell you all about them.

How to Seal the Tupperware Fresh Staks

To ensure that your food remains fresh, you must seal your Tupperware Fresh Staks properly. Here’s how.

Step 1: Place seal, groove over container rim. Press on one corner.

Step 2: Slide thumbs over top of seal edge on opposite corners.

Step 3: Continue to slide thumbs over edges to fourth corner.

To remove the seal, simply lift it from one corner. Then, lift the other three corners, one at a time.

The Verdict

As a work-at-home mom, I normally don’t have lots of time to cook. To save time and effort, I usually cook big batches of food to last for at least two meals. That means that at least half of what I cook gets stored in the fridge until the next meal comes. If I cook in the morning, that means we eat the same food for lunch and dinner. If I cook in the afternoon, then that means we eat the same food for dinner that day and lunch the next day.

Because of that, I need to make sure that food is properly stored so that it will remain fresh and flavorful. I don’t want anyone in our family getting sick because of bacteria circulating in the fridge. Yes, even if you clean your fridge, some bacteria may still remain that can make your family sick. Sometimes accidents happen and something might spill in the fridge causing contamination if your food is not kept tightly sealed in.

I love that there are different sizes of containers because there are days when we might store a lot of leftovers and other days when we only store a few servings. I used the Medium one to store some tomatoes, the Large one to store leftover Beef Nilaga and the Jumbo one to store loaf bread.

I really like that the Tupperware Fresh Staks are stackable because it keeps our fridge really organized compared to random plates and bowls which don’t necessarily fit together and thus occupies valuable space in the fridge. Actually, upon receiving our sets, I immediately tried to put them in our fridge just to see how they would fit because our fridge is not really that big. As you can see below, two of them can fit one on top of the other on the bottom shelf and the other one can fit on the top shelf. All three containers can fit if I remove the shelf altogether but I’m already happy with how it fits now.

I can even fit two more sets if I want to. Now we can store more and waste less!

The Tupperware Fresh Staks are also so easy to open because it has built-in handles that also help in easy handling in and out of the fridge. At the same time, it seals in tight to keep harmful bacteria out and prevent contamination. I can definitely say that our food was kept fresh by the Tupperware Fresh Staks, longer than plates and bowls ever could.

I also love that these products are safe to use and are reusable. I know some people who use containers that need to be thrown out after use and I find that very wasteful.

I guess, if there’s one thing that I would have liked for these products to have though is a variety in colors. Just imagine how organized our fridge would be if I am able to color code everything. Haha!
