Last month, I shared with you our experience when we came to watch the start of the Hot Wheels Epic Race 2016. It just seems like yesterday but the summer is almost over now and the race has also come to a conclusion already.
The Hot Wheels Epic Race is part of Hot Wheel’s Make It Epic campaign for 2016. Make It Epic is rooted in the overall Hot Wheels brand purpose: Exhilaration and Achievement for every kid through….
Competition – It’s how boys connect with each other and drive.
Experimentation – It’s how boys discover the value of grit and progress.
Creativity – It’s how boys learn to express and be free.
But as we have witnessed through these events, it’s not really just the boys. Girls were racing too!
Twenty-five of the fastest kids chosen from the Central Qualifying round at SM Megamall, South Qualifying round at SM BF Paranaque and North Qualifying round at SM San Lazaro, advanced to the finals on May 14 at the SM Mall of Asia, where they again dared to take a jump of faith as they raced their basic cars on the Gravity Racing Platform.
Aside from that, kids also got a chance to try various Hot Wheels tracks set up in the area.
Our own Ziggy spent several hours playing here, along with the hubby, of course.
As usual, there was also an area where kids can try building their own tracks.
The Track Building Home was once again featured to show kids how they can transform their own room to a Hot Wheels Epic race track. For instance, this living diorama onsite was set up with improved tracks, connectors, launchers and stunt kits from the all new Track Builder Unlimited.
Here are the sample Track Builder Systems that were on display.
Before the race took place though, there was also a game wherein children tried to build their own tracks. This little boy was declared the lucky winner.
Now here’s a group photo of the kids who took part in the final race. All of them got goodies from Hot Wheels and Toy Kingdom.
But in the end, there could only be three winners and this boy here was declared the champion! Just look at his prizes! I’m sure he’s having a ball now playing with these toys at home.
We enjoyed witnessing the Hot Wheels Epic Race over the summer even if our boy wasn’t part of the race at all. He enjoyed playing in the area a lot and even got to take home his own Hot Wheels Track Builder System.
Yay! We can now also Make It Epic at home. We’ll be writing a review of this one soon, so watch out for that!

This events suit my boys! They love everything about cars! I hope we can join one soon!
I am sad we missed this event. My boys (well including hubby) are all HotWheels enthusiasts. They have a huge clear box of HotWheel toys at home.
