Last weekend, we finally got to experience Oishi Snacktacular for the first time. I’ve seen photos of this event before on social media but haven’t been able to experience it until now. I took my hubby and our two boys but it was only my son, Ziggy, and I who participated in the activities.
This year, the Oishi Snacktacular event was held at the Carousel Court in Festival Mall. It was a three-day event that started on Friday, July 28 and lasted until Sunday, July 30, 2017. I was supposed to join the other bloggers when the event opened on Friday but I couldn’t. Good thing I was told I can still come during the weekend. I decided to go on the last day to coincide with our family day.
We arrived several minutes before they let people in at the event area. I was really happy we arrived early because we were only there for a few minutes when the area started getting crowded.
Oishi Snack Shack
The first booth that Ziggy and I tried was the Snack Shack. We were each given a big, empty tarpaulin bag made to look like the packaging of an Oishi snack. We were asked to pick the design. Ziggy loves Bread Pan so he picked that while I chose the Kirei. We were given 60 seconds to fill our bags with all the Oishi snacks we wanted from the shelves. We were so fast, we were done in less than 60 seconds. Our bags were even overflowing, they had to take away the overflow. Haha! But we got to take home all the ones we were able to fit inside.
Oishi Snack Catcher
The next booth we visited was the Snack Catcher. I didn’t try it but Ziggy did. I was so proud of him for doing it because I initially thought he wouldn’t. He fell in line and waited for his turn. Then he got himself strapped on the harness and confidently glided on top of that big pool of Oishi snacks. He did his best to get as much snacks as he could, which wasn’t really a lot though because there was only so much his arms could hold. Thankfully, the staff who collected his snacks added more to his stash! Haha!
Oishi Cuckoo Blaster
Ziggy and I did the activity at the Cuckoo Blaster together. We had to wear chicken costumes. Small balls came blasting away towards us. The objective was to catch as many balls as we could inside our costume. We got 24 points each and came away from the booth with a bag of various Oishi drinks.
Q-Twirl
When we were done with the games, we went straight to the Q-twirl booth wherein we got our own ice cream cups. We chose the chocolate flavored ice cream. Then we were also asked to choose two toppings each. This was my ice cream. It was so yummy!
Make Your Own Snack
The last booth we visited was the Make Your Own Snack booth. We were allowed to choose two different Oishi snacks plus two kinds of dips. I love chips and dips so this was the perfect snack for me!
Sadly, we weren’t able to stay for the rest of the day. There was a stage at the area because special guests, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo and Maine Mendoza, were scheduled to visit. There was also a raffle draw but we weren’t able to stay to watch any of those. I’m sure it was fun though. A LOT of people came that day. The area was already swarming with people by the time we left and it was only noon then.
Ziggy and I really enjoyed the event. Hope we can join the Oishi Snacktacular event again next year!

Seems like a fun event. I also would like to have a dip on that pool of chips. Ihihi. Surely my boys would love seeing their mom go home with lots of chips.
