Last Sunday, we went to Trinoma for the Philips AVENT event that I was invited to. We arrived at the mall a little after lunch and so we were all starving already to say the least. I wanted to eat near the Trinoma Activity Center where the event was held. Thankfully, we found a Pizza Hut branch.
While we have been ordering Pizza Hut for delivery, it has been a while since we dined in. I’m glad we did this time because we discovered that Pizza Hut now has the Big Group Feasts, which is a set of meals made for groups of four (4), eight (8) or twelve (12). I’m glad Pizza Hut came up with this because it takes the hassle out of thinking of what to order.
The Big Group Feast for 12 consists of 1 Super Family Supremo Tuscani Pizza, 1 Family Hawaiian Supreme Pan Pizza, 12 pcs. New Orleans Chicken Wings, 1 Family Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs, 1 Family Fettuccine a la King, 2 Family Caesar Salad and 3 Pitchers of Pepsi. All for only Php 1,999.00.
The Feast for 8 includes 1 Super Family Supremo Tuscani Pizza, 1 Family Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs, 2 Family Caesar Salad, 8 Cream of Mushroom and 2 Pitchers of Pepsi for only Php 1,199.00. Lastly, the Feast for 4 includes 1 Family Supreme line Pan Pizza, 2 Regular Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs, 1 Family Caesar Salad, 1 Hut Patatas and 1 Pitcher of Pepsi. All for only Php 799.00.
Since there were only five of us (2 adults, 2 school-age kids and 1 toddler), we opted for the Feast for 4. I was thinking that the menu and quantity of food would be just enough for us to consume in one sitting.
First came the Hut Patatas. I’m sorry that in the photo below the plate shows only a few pieces of the Hut Patatas left. It’s just that we were already so hungry that we all grabbed a few as soon as the plate hit the table. It was the first time we tried it and the kids loved it! I just wish they had a gravy dip because I don’t really like catsup that much.
Next came the pizza. We were given the freedom to choose from any of the Supreme line of pizzas. Being a HUGE meatlover, I chose the Bacon Cheeseburger Supreme variety, which I love! Yum, yum, yummy!
Then came the family size Caesar Salad, which should have been served ahead of the pizza but at that point, I just didn’t care. I finished probably half of this bowl because I didn’t want to gain weight by eating too much pizza or pasta. (Haha!)
Last to be served was the Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs, which the hubby and the kids all devoured. I was only able to have a small serving of it, and to think there were two plates of this included in the package.
At the end of the meal, it turned out that I was wrong. The feast turned out to be even more than enough to feed my family of five. In the end, we were still able to take home 4 slices of pizza and a small serving of the Caesar Salad. Not bad for only Php 799.00.
