I have been anticipating this day since Ziggy turned 1 last February. Haha! Ziggy turned 18 months old yesterday. Yahoo! I know, the 18th month birthday is probably not as important as the “real” birthdays but I just feel like the six-month mark between them is something to be celebrated too. It’s just that in toddlerhood every month is full of new milestones and discoveries that every month is worth celebrating. I’m just excited for the fact that Ziggy is not quite but almost 2 years old already. Get what I mean? It’s okay if you don’t. Haha!
Anyway, we didn’t celebrate with a party or anything like that. As usual, we just stayed home especially since the hubby had to work that night and the girls spent the whole day at school so we had no time to go out. I figured that we should at least cook something that Ziggy will enjoy, which of course means noodles. Oh my gosh, that kid LOVES noodles. He eats all kinds. In fact, he will ignore all the other food on the table if there’s one dish that has noodles in it. So, I decided to have Pasta Carbonara for dinner, which he devoured like he has never eaten before. See below. It’s so adorable!
Aside from the pasta, I also thought it would be nice to have a cake. We normally don’t buy a cake anymore for the monthly birthdays but since it was the six-month mark, I decided to have a small one delivered from Goldilocks bakeshop. I got the Choco Buttercreme Roll, which has choco mallows. Yummy! Ziggy couldn’t wait to get his hands on the cake.
Ziggy also got excited when we told him he was going to blow the candle. During his first birthday, he wasn’t able to do so because he didn’t know how to yet. But over the last few weeks, he suddenly learned how and  so he was eager to do the blowing of the candle this time around. It took a few tries but he never gave up and he was finally able to successfully blow out the candle on his own. Oh my gosh! His face lit up afterwards and you could tell he was pretty happy about it. I, of course, almost cried. Haha! What a milestone that was. I will never forget that moment.
Happy 18th month birthday, Ziggy!!!
