School has started and as we all know (at least in this country), the rainy season comes with that. It has been raining on and off over the past couple of weeks and I must admit that I love it. It was just too hot last summer and so I welcome the rain with open arms. However, I was worried about what the rains will bring and I’m not just talking about traffic, landslides and flash floods. I was worried about my kids getting sick because that is all too common during the rainy season.
As it turns out, the kids didn’t get sick (at least not yet, Thank God!). It was me and the hubby, though, who got the flu. It started with my hubby a week ago, when he got cough and colds. Then just yesterday, it transferred to me. It has only been about 24 hours but I’ve already gone thru a pack of facial tissues from blowing my nose. I even asked Kai to buy me a bigger pack and he proceeded to buy not just a big box but also a big pack I can put in my bag for when I need to go out. This is what my work desk looks like now. Definitely cannot live without the tissues right.
Good thing we finally got a new housekeeper last Monday, so at least there’s someone who can take care of the chores. I was able to spend the entire day yesterday sneaking in sleep in between taking care of Ziggy. I feel a bit better today because there’s no more headache. But I still have slight fever and now have cough too. So not good. Anyway, I still have work to do and so, here I am. Please stay tuned to what I’ve got in store for you this week. I’ve been dropping hints about what I’ve got planned over the last couple of weeks. Stay tuned and please pray I get well soon!
