In my almost one year of being a WAHM, one thing that I made sure I will always do is to continue learning. I started WAHM-ing by being a freelance writer but eventually an opportunity to become a virtual assistant was presented to me and I accepted. I knew that I had the skills and capabilities to be a good VA but I also knew that I still had a lot to learn. So, I attended workshops such as the Real Ways to be a WAHM workshops organized by Manila Workshops and Wahmderfullife.com.
I’ve blogged about my experiences in these workshops here and here. Trust me when I say that these workshops have really helped me a lot in so many ways. The speakers were experts in the field who were candid and honest in sharing their real life VA stories and their learnings along the way. I definitely recommend this workshop to any wannabe or newbie VA.
Good thing that the organizers scheduled another session, this time focusing entirely on being a VA (the ones I attended had a separate freelance writing stream) called, Real Ways To Be A WAHM: The Virtual Assistant Edition. It’s actually the third installment of the It’s a WAHMderful Life workshops.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013, from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. at Co.Lab in Pasig. It is open to wannabe or newbie virtual assistants, WAHMs, WAHDs or work-at-home singles.
Participants can expect to learn the following:
- Coping strategies for WAHM Virtual Assistants
- Brand yourself, WAHM!
- Transcription 101
- Social Media and Community Management
