In our part of the world, school is about to end in a few weeks and of course what comes after that is summer vacation. I am so looking forward to that because that means I won’t have to wake up so early to prepare my two daughters for school. Also, I plan on making this summer a special one because it will be Ziggy’s first. So, here are just some of my ideas of what to do this summer.
  1. Enroll my daughters in Jollibee Kiddie Crew – Last year, they did the McDonald’s Kiddie Crew and it was a wonderful experience for them. This year, I want them to try Jollibee instead so that they can experience it in another environment. I’m sure they’ll enjoy it as well.
  2. Visit The Mind Museum – My hubby and I have been anticipating the opening of this museum because it’s supposed to be really great. I want our summer to be a learning experience for all of us and The Mind Museum is the place to visit if you want to learn more about Science. Another great thing about this is that my hubby can get a discount on the entrance fees because the company he works for is one of the major sponsors of the museum. Hooray for company perks!
  3. Go to the beach – The ultimate summer experience for me is to go to the beach. We weren’t able to do so last year because Ziggy was only a few months old and so I’m really hoping to be able to do it this year. The kids love to go swimming and I love the beach so it would be a great family trip, I’m sure. Now, the challenge here is to choose which beach we want to visit.
  4. Go to Baguio – It has started to get awfully hot here and the heat is killing me. I’m sure it will only get worse when summer officially starts. So, what better thing to do than to visit somewhere cold, right? I know we can visit nearby Tagaytay but we’ve been there so many times already. The most logical next option is Baguio. The last time Kai and I visited Baguio was 3 1/2 years ago. The girls haven’t been there for 6 years already. Ziggy was there last December when his grandparents took him there but we haven’t been there as a family yet. So, this trip should be a very exciting one for all of us.

Oh, I can think of so many other things to do for the summer. However, we have to limit these activities. With me staying at home with the kids at this time, there aren’t enough funds to do everything we want to do. In order to afford everything maybe we’d have to consider taking some payday lending options. Whatever we decide to do though, the most important thing for this summer is that we get to enjoy it as a family. Here’s to summer 2012!!!!
