We just got back from a really enjoyable trip to Subic! I haven’t been there for a couple of years and so I was really excited to go. Kai’s niece and her mom celebrated their birthdays there yesterday and so the whole clan came to celebrate with them. I was especially excited to go because this was the last family trip that Kai, Zoe, Ziya and I will be able to take before Ziggy arrives.
We left the house super early so that Kai can drive at a leisurely pace, which is absolutely necessary to make the pregnant woman (me!) comfortable. We stopped by along NLEX to have breakfast first at Burger King.

After breakfast, we continued our drive to Subic. Along the way, we were fortunate enough to pass by the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark. We really planned on going in the first place but decided we’d probably be too tired if we did. So, seeing some hot air balloons still at the venue (though they were already parked) and some flying planes doing some exhibitions, were still nice to witness. Will definitely go visit next year!
We arrived early in Subic and had time to visit the beach first before going to the party and checking in to our hotel. It was a hot day, perfect for the beach!

We stayed at Moonbay Marina, which is along Waterfront Drive in Subic Bay, and was actually also the venue of the party. The place is gorgeous! Mongolian was served during the party (yum, yum, yum!) plus homemade Sorbetes (pinoy ice cream)! Yummy!
