My birthday is coming in two days yet I still haven’t blogged about my gift wish list. Well, don’t they say that in order for you to get something you want you have to throw it out to the universe first? They say that when you do that, everything in the universe will conspire to make it happen. Haha! So, I’d like to give it a shot.
I’d like to share with you the things I am hoping to get for my birthday. This is a list of material things, mind you. Of course, I still wish for more birthdays to come, good health for me and my family and all that stuff. But come on! I pray for those things all the time. So, indulge me and let me be a little materialistic just for now. Hehehe…
I mean, I don’t really expect anyone to give me these things because not many people give me gifts on my birthday anymore (poor me!). I guess, that’s just normal as you grow older. Blech! Plus, I also know already what my hubby is going to give me for my birthday (a new laptop!) but I won’t be getting it until early in March because of budget scheduling concerns. Hehe! He and my kids are just about the only ones who give me stuff for my birthday and I can’t expect my kids to give me anything on my list below (yet!).
So, here they are – my top 5 birthday gift wishes!
Alunsina Handbound Journal
I have always loved writing in journals! I guess, for those of you who knew that, it will no longer come as a surprise why I have now chosen a career as a writer. However, it has been years since I last used one. The past two years, I’ve been writing on this blog instead. But as I have shared in my post about my writing goals for 2013, I vowed to start journal writing again.
So, I went in search of the perfect journal to inspire me and I chanced upon Alunsina Handbound Journals on Facebook. I so love all their products. I want to hoard them all, honestly. This one below is one of my favorites, though. The cover is made of real cowhide leather while the chopstick is made of kamagong. The paper they use are acid-free blank ivory paper with distressed edges. It can be opened flat without damaging the spine. Plus, it’s handbound! Isn’t it beautiful? I super love this. I gotta have it soon! I can’t wait to actually feel the journal in my hands. Aaahhh! I know I can just use any other notebook to write (yeah right) but writing in something like this will surely make me feel more inspired. So there, to each her own.

John Green Book Set
I have to admit, I have never read a John Green book yet but not because I don’t want to. I really, really do! It’s just that I already have a pile of books I have yet to finish reading (so many books, so little time!). But, I seriously want to add this book set to my pile. I’ve read so many good reviews about his books and so I really have to find the time to read them. What I look forward to the most is reading The Fault in Our Stars. Have you guys read it yet? What do you think of his books?

Kiara Loose Dolman Tee from And Apparel (as seen on Catalogue 63)
I have shopped online at Catalogue 63 a couple of times already and both times I bought something from And Apparel. I just love their clothes! What I’m wishing for now is this purple Kiara Loose Dolman Tee. I love it because it’s purple and the one-shoulder thing is sexy, don’t you think? (One time, when hubby and I were driving around in the village, we saw this lady walking by and she was wearing something like this. Hubby couldn’t help but stare at her as we passed by. Hmp! She wasn’t all that pretty but the one-shoulder thing is really something that draws people to look at you. Hmp! Hubby, I can rock this look to you know. Haha!) This is actually available in several colors but since I’m drawn to purple, I chose this one. Love it, love it!

Samsung Galaxy Y Duos
I am in desperate need of an Android phone. It’s not that I hate my current phone, a Nokia C3. It’s just that I’m getting bored with it already having had it for more than a year now. Also, it’s not Android. I really need an Android phone especially since I’m working now as a social media manager too and so I have to be able to keep tabs on the accounts I’m handling wherever I am. I chose this because it’s cheap and it’s a trusted brand I’ve tried before. As much as I would like to by an IPhone, I just can’t afford it now (unless someone gives it to me as a gift!). Haha! But I’m not asking for much, so I’d rather have this instead.

A Beach Getaway!
Lastly, I would love to be given an all-expense paid trip to the beach. I don’t have to go alone or with just the hubby. I’d love to go with my kids too. I just want to get away from the city (and from work and chores!) for a few days and just relax – as in really relax! It has been almost five years now since my last trip to Boracay! 5 long years! I’d love to go back especially since my hubby and kids have never been there yet. Below is one of my most favorite photos taken of me in Boracay during my last visit. Looking at the nice, clear water makes me crave for it even more. Aaahhh! I so NEED a vacation!
