Last Saturday, I finally had a chance to have some much needed me-time. I have written in this blog about that time last year when I went back to work and I was only able to stay on that job for two months. Well, I now know why that had to happen. It’s because I was meant to do better things, such as finally launch my freelance writing career (Yey!). However, I don’t regret my short stay in that company because of the people I met while I was there, specifically my team.
I haven’t seen most of them since I left but kept in contact with them just the same. So when the idea of having a reunion this December came up, I immediately confirmed to attend. It just so happens that we started working for the company on the 1st of December last year. So, we wanted to celebrate our anniversary despite the fact that practically half of our team is no longer in the company, just like me.
Last Saturday, we had lunch at Kim Chie, which is one of the restaurants at Seaside Macapagal. I was so thrilled we’d be having seafood! Of course, I was happiest seeing my former co-workers although there were a few who were unable to make it. Here’s a photo of our group, taken before I left.

I had so much fun eating. I LOVE seafood! What’s great about this place is that you can go buy fresh seafood from the market then just instruct the restaurant cooks to cook the food in any way you want. Take a look at what we had for lunch. Seafood galore! Seafood lovers prepare to drool!

This is grilled salmon. So yummy and fresh!

This is calamari!!! This was actually my request coz I miss calamari.

This is actually another salmon dish, this time Sinigang style.

This one is baked mussels, which is another one of my favorites! I ate a lot of this!

Now, this one’s my most favorite of all – shrimps!!! We actually had two kinds cooked. One is garlicky and the other one is spicy. I love both!

Here’s some of us in the group happily devouring everything.

Oh, we didn’t just eat though. Since there was a videoke machine at the place, the kind where you had to put in 5 peso coins, we sang and sang and sang as well. Here’s a photo of me singing. Haha!

The reunion lasted only a few hours but it doesn’t matter. I had a lot of fun just seeing my friends and catching up with them. This is the first reunion I’ve been to this Christmas season and I’m already scheduled to attend a few more. Here’s to more reunions to come and a busy yet happy Christmas!!!
